10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Dehumidifer and Remote
This Commercial Cool by Haier 10,000 BTU cooling portable air conditioner features quiet cooling ample to cover a room about 400 sq. ft. This unit also features eco-friendly refrigerant and is free of any lead and mercury making it RoHS complaint. This model also features casters, a remote 24 hour timer, and a 46 in. extended window exhaust kit.

We received our unit and promptly took it out of the box (yes it was a little heavy) but with two people, no problem. All of the pieces were present and fitting the exhaust parts to the window section ensued. The directions left a bit to be desired. I had to cut the existing extension panel by a few inches to fit our window. Once that was accomplished it was an easy install. More foam sticky tape should have been included; I had to get a little more to make a adequate seal.
Now for the fun part, the first and second night we had our new a\c unit, the exhaust tube fell out of the window. I remedied this by cutting two .5 inch strips of the extension panel (that I cut to fit earlier during installation) and found two small screws to form a lock if you will as I screwed them into the exhaust plate and had them extend just over the exhaust tube oval piece lip. We can now move the a/c unit around (as we have it in a tight place) to where ever we need it and the exhaust will NOT fall out again.
Second we needed to be sure we don’t set the a/c unit too low. We have a 144 sq ft room and it seems the unit will freeze as we do. Then we have to empty the condensate water. We find that if kept at 64 degrees it works wonderfully.
Yes it makes noise! BUT they all do and it helps us sleep. When the a/c does cycle it does it much more quietly than our last window unit.
Over all we are extremely pleased with the unit it keeps us very cold at night as we like it. I recommend this unit to all.

The AC unit is more expensive than most portable AC units; however it is powerful and convenient. Furthermore, the size of the unit fits in small spaces or corners if necessary. It has timer settngs and a remote control. I would recommend this product.

have been using the unit for about 2 weeks now. Installation took about 15 minutes, pretty easy. Product works great, instantly starts cooling. Its not overly loud either.

not sure if ours is defective but we are returning it because it runs for 10 minutes then shuts off, runs for 10 min then shuts off constantly

Great product. Using as suplimental cooling for our small office server room. We put the vent hose up into plenum of the dropped ceiling for venting.

Great purchase. Cools the room down super fast and is mostly quiet. The only drawback is the blue light display. It is very bright and lights up the whole room. We had to use a wash cloth to cover it (held with a rubber band) so it would not be so bright. Love the 3 speed fan and the remote control feature. I highly recommend this air conditioner.

This is the fourth unit I've ordered in the last 3 weeks. The first one was boxed wrong, the second didn't cool, and the third wouldn't turn on. Home Depot did refund my money and did everything they could. The manufacturer also sent out a repair man to try to get them to work, but it was easier to just return them. I just ordered another unit today, so hopefully it works like it should. It is a nice looking unit for the money and I would still recommend it. But that may change if the next one doesnt work.

Before purchasing this A/C unit, we read many reviews of this and similar products. Our only concern was some had complained about the noise level. Believe me, that is not a problem. It's about the same noise level as if you had a fan sitting in your room. I was also concerned about how the window exhaust would look (since the room we use it in is in the front of the house. The design is nice and sleek and hardly noticeable from the street view. Not to mention, we usually ending up turning it off the room gets so cold. Excellent choice.

We bought this item for my son's room which is in our attic. We live in a 1902 victorian home, and my some has no heat or air in his room. This item solves this problem at a fraction of the cost of "Mr. Slim type unit" and I did not have to cut into the side of our house!! and as an added benefit it come with a dehumidifier!!

I used the unit 2 days before it turned cold again. It seemed to do a very nice job. But when it turned cold and the unit was off, it let in cold air down the tube which came out the unit vents in the back of the unit. I was afraid this would happen with the hot air in the summer. I had to cover the unit with a blanket until we disconnected it and took it back. Also, I think this open tube would let bugs in. They said not to use a screen over the tube end. There is a cap that you can put on the outside of the tube, but then you would have to open the window each time, and I had that taped off to prevent air from coming in around that.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The AC in my apartment is pretty useless (will stay on 24/7 if it gets above 70 degrees)...and I have a pet rabbit...so need to keep at least the room he's in at 70ish degrees. Thermometer across the room gets down to 65-67 degrees when I have this thing set at 65....room is about 400-500 square feet all-told...so it does the job very well. Blows ice-cold air. Not the cheapest unit you can get from HD, but it does great so the extra expense is worth it. Only gripe is that the instructions are a little too basic, but you can figure it out fairly quickly. I had a little fun getting the hose attached (stretch the hose all the way out at the end and "screw" on the ports on the end...but don't push to hard or the hose will contract). For 400 sq ft or less, this is the one to get.

I am a woman and installed this myself. It was very easy. I highly recommend this for a hot area of a home. I have it in a sunroom. The room is all glass and still is warm but no where near what is use to be. I love this product.

Was missing a couple of screws, the instructions had poor non-detailed pictures BUT the quality appears to be very good and I was able to find scew replacements. Too early to tell how energy efficient. Just purchased and the hot season is not here.
