So far so good . Not sure if i like a oil compressor yet as there is extra maitence but does run quiter then my old compressor. Its a little heavy ant the price is a bit high but it works great for my teture gun. the wheels a not very well put toghether and i wonder how long they will hold up.They could have done much better with the wheels .but so far over all im happy with the product.

I did a lot of research for a compressor for around the house and that was portable. I found most of the good quality compressors that could operate air tools for any lenght of time were 500.00 plus and/or were not portable for a normal person. I located this compressor on this website and after trying to find a issue with it...and couldn't I purchased it on-line through Home Depot. Although one wheel came bent I had bee impressed with the compressor. No leak or other problems...other than a very thin manual. I would gladly recommend this compressor to anyone that wants a quality built yet portable compressor.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I saw a lot of other air compressors in this price range or more that couldn't do what this compressor does. It reached the cut-out point (fully charged when the motor turns off) in less than 2 minutes. For a 5 gal tank, that's pretty sweet. The 6.5 CFM will also allow me to use car tools without having to wait as long.
This is my first oiled compressor. The manual wasn't too helpful as far as specifics or illustrations, so read thoroughly.
My one complaint is that I'm nervous about all the moisture that is coming out with the Air. I live in a dry climate (Utah), and I'm not sure where it is coming from.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The MAC5200 was a good idea for interior remodeling the demand for a compact and portable air compressor; but does not satisfy the demand for a low noise and performance.

This is one nice compressor. Good quality assembly and parts. I have only used it for trim work so far but I can tell how the compressor cycles that it will work fine with my framing and roofing guns. The ball valve on the tank drain is nice instead of the old style drain valves. This newer model also has the solid rubber wheels, not plastic like the older version. The only bad thing is the wheel to axle attachment. Not sure how that will hold up over the long haul.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Researched portable compressors for a week. This one is the best value at this price point. Came with the solid rubber wheels, so no worries there. Like the compartment on top and that you can wrap the hose around the handle. The drain valve on ALL portable compressors should have some sort of protection for them though if they get hit. My contractor buddies are jellous.

This is a great compressor for nailers and mid to low CFM sprayers. It is definately built for the construction site. It charges to 140PSI very quickly. As far as other comments about noise...its not bad at all. I do agree that the wheels are not as solid as I would like to see but I have had no problems. It was delivered quick and the box arrived will no damage. Overall, I am completely satisfied. This is the best compact compressor I have ever owned. I used the dewalt comparable (D55146 4.5 Gal) but there is honestly no comparison. Dewalt is oil free. They say its for convenience but its honestly for cost.Trust me, they do not last and cost just about the same. Buy the USA made Makita.
Yes, I recommend this product.

i wrote a review previously & gave it a good review after using it twice. i went to use it to fill up tractor tires several days later & after the initial tank fill the next time it kicked on it sputtered & died never to start again. hopefully this is just a fluke & the next one i order will be better. i will write another review after recieving & using the next one.

i've used it for filling tires & blowing out hay & smaller particles on a hay baler. worked well for for both tasks but i doubt the 6.3 CFM at 90 psi although it does recharge quickly for such a small tank capacity. ordered this through home depot online & the first two compressors i received were not what i ordered & they assured me that problem was with makita

Internet buy from Depot was best deal i could find. Shipped in quick. My first oiled compressor, have been using 150 lb. oiless twinstacks for 18 years now. After a careful read and fill of the oil, I ran it open for the 20 minute break in period as specified. I was amazed at how quiet the big girl is. At a full 15 amps I was afraid it would trip breakers but it ran fine. Oilless twinstacks are very loud and take forever to fill up once they are well used. Makitas big horse not only is super quiet for the size but fill to the 140 pounds in such a short amount of time I thought something was wrong with it. I used it today to change out a front door and reframe the rotted floor framing below. Was superb w/ 1 framing/siding/trim gun.
Haven't had a chance to give it 3 roofing guns or 4 siding guns for an 8 hour go. So far so good. I chose this model because it is basically adding the air and fill speed and capacity for that extra man with a 3rd gun. Where the twin stacks worked hard with 2 framing or roofing guns at 2 hp and 4-5 gallons at 150 max, this 3.5 peak 6 gallon bridges the gap to the next full tilt installer for any project without killing the mule if you get my drift, Peixaria Out

I bought this to replace an "oil-free" compressor that I have rebuilt twice. I have no complaints. I'm reroofing my house and this thing just keeps chugging away. Pretty straight forward operation. If you can't figure out how it works you don't deserve one. Especially helpful is the onboard storage, the collapsible handle and space for great lengths of air hose. Keep an eye on the oil levels and always drain the tank after use.

I bought this air compressor used a few years ago. This is my go to air compressor because it functions the exact same every day. It is lubricated so it is quite. Never had a problem and it blows out tons of air. It is heavy so it is a two person job to get it up or down stairs. It slides down steps and stairs pretty good but you will damage hardwood stairs. Makita still makes good tools and I have gone through several job site air compressors until I found Makita air compressors. Makita is the only brand that I will buy for construction air needs.
Yes, I recommend this product.
