Picked it up for some tailgating in New England. Weather was 15 degrees w/ a wind chill in the single digits. We used one of these, an easy-up tent, and 3 blue tarps for the sides. We we're perfectly comfortable. Too big to fit in my trunk, had to disablement it to get it to the game.

Get rid of the included tiny tools and use regular sized ones. Worked great once it was together.

I bought the product and HD and I used a HF 20% coupon that the store matched so I only paid 80+ tax. I was so satisfied , I clipped another 20% coupon and picked up another.
I have a patio that is 25' X18'. The two heaters are not powerful enough to warm the entire area but still a nice for closer proximity. When I fired up the the first heater. The temperature outside was ~20 F. Standing 3' feet away I was comfortable when the heater was on max. I haven't had both of them on at the same time but I feel confident that A 6' x 3' area will will be comfortable. Keep in mind it was pretty cold that night.
As for those who have a problem lighting the pilot. Per the instructions hold down the dial for 2 minutes before trying to light it the first time or after a long period of time of inactivity. I did this and didn't have any problems.
If you are not good with assembly instructions this may present a mild problem but for the most part it is straight forward. DO NOT tighten the table with the wrench. Do it by hand and DON'T screw it tight. The first time I put it together I tighten the table and spent 10 minutes trying to use the wrench to get it undone.
At 41,000 BTU this is a great product for the price. Plus it it has a nice table to place your drinks on while you warm up!
Yes, I recommend this product.

The price was GREAT-$99 versus the minimal $199 price on similar patio heaters. I bought the bronze hammer-tone finish model (I think it is also available in stainless steel finish). It is smart looking piece of yard art with a small table to boot! It starts everytime and produces mucho heat. What else do you need?
The dome is made of several pieces that needed to be bolted together. While more labor intensive than simply bolting on a one-piece dome, the multi-piece dome had to contribute to the lower price and I didn't mind the extra 15 minutes of assembly. It also does not have a door to access the propane tank storage area but instead requires you to slide the small circular table up the stalk, out of the way and then lift the entire lower portion up to access the tank storage area. Again, this system versus the door system surely contributed to the lower price. It adds about 10 seconds to the propane tank change procedure!
So, for an additional $100 (or more) I could have had a one piece dome and a door access to the propane tank storage area! Think of it; I could have saved 15 minutes in assembly and 10 seconds each time I change the tank.
I liked it so much I went back to the store and bought six (6) more! Need I say more?
Yes, I recommend this product.

The housing for the tank could be improved by having a opening for reaching the tank shut off/on without lifting the entire cover for clearance. We like the painted finish, only time will tell how furable it will be.

I was able to pick one up on December 16th for a party I was having on the 20th for my daughters 21st B'day party. When I got to the store they had sold the last one and only had the display model. The salesman who helped me sold me the floor model with a 20% discount,so I got it for 80 bucks all ready assembled. I got it home and basically had to reassemble it to make sure everything was done correctly and fired it up with no problem.
Yes the pilot is hard to see in the daylight when trying to light but that is the only issue I can find.
I have been in the propane industry for 25+ years and can tell you that the people having problems lighting it are probably having problems with the propane tank and not the unit .The valve on the 20lb propane tank can be very problematic when opening it attached to an empty fuel line, since it has an excess flow check valves built into it,the fitting on the fuel line also has an excess flow valve built into it.So if you open the valve too fast it will actually shut off the flow of fuel at the tank.I am actually looking for another one but all the local stores are sold out of it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Picked up at HD today. Assembly was pretty uneventful. It took longer than I expected, but then I read, re-read, and read again before I do any given step. A couple of times, the instructions weren't explicit, so I ended up attaching things that needed to be unattached, something added, and reattached. Again, the instructions weren't wrong, but they were open for interpretation.
There were a couple of parts of assembly that would have gone faster had I had a second set of hands. One that comes to mind is the reflector. It's the three piece ring that goes on top. Getting the screws to line up while holding two pieces of large sheet metal without them bending was a bit of a challenge. It worked out in the end.
I was a little confused at first about lighting. Unless you have experience with one of these, read the instructions. I assumed when I turned the control knob all the way on I would be able to hear the gas flowing through the tank like I do on my gas grill. This seems to use alot less gas than my grill, so I didn't hear gas flowing. I thought it was clogged. Then, I read the correct way of starting, and it worked like a champ.
Time will tell how well a $100 heater holds up when the rest of the market sells for about 2.5 times that price. So far, I like what I have.
I would recommend having a helper do the assembly just to hold things as needed. And pay close attention to the proper way of lighting. I can see lighting using a pilot would be problematic on a windy day, but I don't see that as a design flaw.
If the heater holds up for a few years, I'd give it 5 of 5. I'm holding back a star just in case...
Yes, I recommend this product.

The first time we used it, it took about 15 minutes to get it lit. Once lit, there was plenty of heat and I was excited about it. Since then we have not been able to light it. The pilot comes on but once you turn the switch to low the pilot goes out. Now I have to haul it back to the store. I'm not happy about that.

The heater looks great and if you can get it to ignite it works well. The problem is we've used it 2x and both times we've had difficulty getting it started. The first time took over 30 minutes and I'm still working on the second attempt. If I can't get it going soon its going back today.

I picked this heater up as a Black Friday Deal 2 weeks early in the store by purchasing it for under a hundred. on my Cell Phone. It is the nicest looking outdoor heater with the bronze and the table in the middle. My wife and I put it together in about 20 minutes. It works great and had thru a party we had on a cold night recently. This picture is on my deck after we put it together ;-)
Yes, I recommend this product.
