Very Good Safe

I was apprehensive about purchasing this safe because of the reviewers who could not open it. It did take me several tries to open the safe before I realized that you must precisely follow the instructions. I have since opened it many times without any trouble. This is a great little safe that can be bolted to the floor using included supplies. It is well constructed with thick walls and door. I like that it requires both a key and four number combination to open, and locks with a heavy bolt on both sides of the door. These features all increase the security of the safe. I am pleased with my purchase and only wish I had ordered one of their larger safes.

I was looking for a safe that did not use an electronic keypad due to the problems associated with them. This one fit the bill. A simple but secure design. My only complaint is the size is smaller (by half) of comparable safes in this price range.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Strong

No fancy electronics. No spring loaded latches or bolts. Simple, pure functionality.
I'm not a locksmith but when I examined the inner workings of the safe, it became clear to me that it would be nearly impossible to pick the safe without the keys. The locking bolt is moved by the action of the key; without the combination the key will not turn. The lack of springs and complex mechanisms inside the door prevent tapping or other methods of forced entry; I'm confident my items are secure from only the most determined intruders. It is possible to change the combination as well, closer examination of the internal mechanism by anyone who opens the inner panel to the door will reveal the simple method for doing so.
In addition to the locking bolt, there are two static bolts on the other side of the door that prevent the door from being removed; even if the hinges are cut off.
The safe is quite heavy, being filled with heat-resistant concrete as a fire proofing measure. The walls themselves are a mild steel, and hardware is included to secure it to the floor.

Closest in size that would fit where my old safe was, mounted in wall attached wooden cabinet in the basement. They supply hardware to bolt it to concrete, but you would have to be down on your knees to open it. Note that its fireproof, not floodproof if that might be a concern to buyers.
Pros: Sturdy, Strong, Good Size & Weight

This product is well built and works well!

This safe is a nice size and works well. It is heavy enough to make handling a challenge for installation. It comes with a bolt system that is designed for cement. If you want to bolt it to anything else you will need to buy it from Home Depot. The dial is easy to see and operate. The key must be used to open it.
