Finally ran out of Brasso which cam in a metal can. This new formulation while nicer to the environment does NOT polish up copper and brass as quickly as the old formulation. If you use this product frequently try and seek out the Brasso which comes in metal cans and if you find any be sure and consider stocking up. You can see and smell the difference in the formulation ...old stuff which comes in cans had a volatile ammonia type smell while this new formulation has less VOC's (volatile organic compounds) of a ammonia odor.
I've lived in my house for 10 years, and the front door hardware was looking worn out. It had lost it's luster, and had numerous "rust spots". Brasso worked great. It took a little elbow grease, but surprisingly, the hardware looks almost brand new. Even the "rust spots" are gone!
I had some nasty water marks on front of my stainless steel dishwasher and had tried numerous products. I stopped into Home Depot to check on other products that may work and then I saw the Brasso, which I remember from years past. I tried it on the dishwasher and what do you know, looks like brand new again. Thank you. I am so pleased with this and will always keep a bottle in my cleaning closet.

Review 6 for 8 oz. Metal Polish

No, I do not recommend this product.
This new formula of Brasso is terrible! The old brasso in the metal can worked miracles on my military & law inforcement brass. This new stuff is dull.
