purchased one and it leaked internally...returned it and got another of same model and it leaked from same area. Both within one week...enclosed manuals were not for the dehudifiers in boxes...no more LG!

Nice little unit. Easy to connect garden hose to drain into sump pump pit. I noticed a difference in the humidity level in about an hour, but the unit does give off an odor. It does smell like rubber burning. Unit appears to be functioning fine. Hopefully, the odor will dissipate after a few more days of use.

This dehumidifier failed after only 4 months. LG service was completely useless. Will never buy another LG product.

Do not buy a LG dehumidifier. This is the fifth unit to quit working in 3 years. they are only used in the summer months in wisconsin. Three were replaced under warranty before the warranty ran out. They are also extremely noisy.

I will be returning this item tomorrow because the strong rubber smell it gives off has been affecting my breathing. I do not have asthma, but this dehumidifier made my chest feel constricted and irritated. Very disappointing and may be hazardous to people's health!

We purchased this dehumidifier several months ago to keep the utility room dry from the high humidity here in s/w Louisiana. It works great with an automatic shut-off when the bucket is full. The bucket is a bit small for this area and has to be emptied every other day. I do not care to drill a hole through my outside wall to have a drain attached to the machine. The humidity level is adjustable so you can keep the room as dry as you would like. This one replaces another brand that the compressor gave out on. It was cheaper to replace that machine rather than repairing it. Noise is not an issue since it is out of earshot. I would definitely recommend this machine.

This product is easy to set up and easy to maintain. It really grabs all of the moisture from the air. I bought two of them. I used one in my bedroom because mold was forming along the baseboards and in my closet, my clothes were getting mildew stains and stayed damp. I use one in the livingroom area where the same mold was creeping along the bottom of my drapes. I empty the 13 pint containers about every 3 days!! This thing has saved my family healthwise.

This unit does take the moisture out of our basement, but the smell is unbearable. Smells like we had a fire in the house. Smell goes thourgh the whole house, even thought the unit is in the basement. Cannot live with it... It must go back!

This dehum is used as a stand-alone for 1 room. While it operated as advertised, and was easy to set-up, it sounds like a truck when operating and makes a "strange" odor. The odor resembles that of a new BBQ grill the first time it is used. The controls are easy to understand and operate.

I have it in my 700 sq ft crawl space and the little fella is working great so far. Got this one b/c the bigger ones are too tall for the space. Hopefully it lasts for a while.

We got this for our ground-level apartment when we realized there was water pooling near our windows and a lot of condensation/mold forming in our closets. As soon as we got it, it started to fill quickly and we realized how extensive our humidity problem really is. This little machine is the perfect size (we have a 1BR apartment) and we use it when we shower to catch the humidity our shower is putting off. Definitely recommend this unit!

The system does work well, except the hose I bought for the machine (sold by Home Depot for item) did not have a good seal. I actually had to use an older hose that worked fine. I want the dehumidifier to drain into a deep sink that next to the machine, but it seems to need a deeper drop to drain well, so I have to have the hose draining into a bucket on the floor. This works fine for now as I just use the dehumidifier at night and empty the bucket in the a.m. I may also cut the hose lenght (it is ~ 5 ft) and see if it will drain into the sink then.

It dried my wet basement in a matter of days. I really like the timer option, which I'm currently using. I don't worry about it running continuously when I'm not home. I set it to run 4 hours on and 4 hours off. I'm so happy I purchased it!
