descent for the money.. runs my trim gun fine and even my senco framer on occasions for light duty shots. but be carefull ... oil that is shipped with unit is good for the ten minite continuous run break-in and should be changed prior to operation., lots of metal particulates if you look after break-in. changing after breakin will increase longevity..

1. Mine came overfilled with oil (by at least 2X the quantity the manual called for). Some of the oil had leaked in the box and on the compressor. The label with the oil instructions is permanently oil stained. Manual specifically states oil comes in a small container which you must add prior to first use, so I'm thinking that mine was either a return or the store's display model (they no longer stock this model at my HD). The one I bought was the last one.
2. It quickly pressures right up to 125 psi, but then bleeds down to 115 psi every time and then stays there. Go figure. I've checked all connections with soapy water, but can't find a leak. It's likely the twist pressure valve, but I can't find it.
3. One of the rubber feet had fallen off in the box. Not a big deal to put back on, but not sure how that got past the factory.
4. I'm able to shoot 15 18 gauge 2 inch brad nails before the motor kicks back on, so I'm good with that.
Got a great deal on this from HD ($62), so I'm going to keep it. Like the portability and it works great with my brad nailer (which is why I bought it).

I was surprised how well this works compared to my old one. The old one ran constantly when in use, and I would have to stop and wait for it to get enough pressure all the time.
This unit keeps enough pressure that I can use it without having to wait for it to air up. But, it still runs a lot when in use. They both had small tanks, so that's expected.
The tools that came with it are pretty cheap, but useful. I did, however, have to replace the hose already, out of necessity, the threads broke on one end.
Overall this is a pretty good for the money.

This is the second review, as my first was denied. Basically it's a good compressor for the price for doing small, home garage type jobs. (ie. inflating car tires, blowing off stuff, etc.)
The one I received was covered in oil inside the box. It is supposed to be shipped empty of oil, as the manual states this, but this one isn't. It was 1/4 full and they used a plastic yellow cap instead of the actual oil reservoir plug to close up the opening and then shipped it. Well as you can imagine the cap comes right off and oil exited and soaked everything in the box. Had to do a thorough cleaning job prior to first use.
Otherwise as previously mentioned the included tools are fine. I will be purchasing an updated hose/brass connectors in order to increase the quality/amount of air actually being delivered.
Takes exactly 1:15 to reach full capacity on 125psi once it cycles on. Pumping up car tires involves the compressor cycling on and off around 3 times per tire. (inflated from 20psi to 42psi per tire). Noise isn't too bad for a small compressor. Didn't have a problem with it being used in my garage.

Bought this compressor for little jobs around the house. I looked at many compressors in this category and this one impressed me the most. The main thing that I really liked was the fact it was oil lubricated. With tthis in mind you're assured moving parts that need lubricaiton will get lubricated. And, this tends to attribute to machines with moving parts lasting longer than those that are not oil lubricated.

So far this unit has done all that I could ask of a small compressor. It can drive 15 - 2.5" finish nails before recharging the tank and is light enough to carry up and down stairs with no problem. The hose and accessories that come with it are real handy too. The only problem is that the compessor to tank tube is not shielded. It can be very hot if the compressor runs alot, and the fins can be damaged easily.

This compressor is well built and the fact it takes oil will mean it will last longer than an oil less model. I comes up to pressure quickly and maintains it. Unless you use air tools heavily, this compressor will make you very happy.

I purchased this compressor to use with a finish nailer and it worked great! it quickly fills up in about 20 seconds after turning on and holds for about 8 nails before the motor turns on again for a short time. The noise of the motor is average for a compressor. This is the best price around for this size and power. I also purchased a Husky 5000W generator this year and was just as satisfied. I think Husky is my new choice for tools and equipment.

Doing a basement remodeling job and bought a nailer. Needed something lightweight to power it. Wasn't sure when I got it if it would work with my nailer, but it does. I can drive 5 3" nails before it needs to kick back on. Low noise level. You do have to check the oil level, but that is easy with the site glass and adding when needed is a breeze too. I wouldn't think this would be something a contractor would want, but for a DIY'er needing to handle jobs around the house, this is a good bet. It's more portable than most and again, its pretty quiet, so using it in the basement won't interfere with noise levels upstairs. I haven't tried driving 100 nails in a row with it yet, but its done everything I've needed so far.

I was given this as a Christmas present. When I opened it, the compressor, instructions, accessories, and inside of the box were covered in oil... odd since it says it doesn't come with oil in it. The box could have been on it's side at one point which might have caused that, but the box gives very little warning that it should be kept upright. Cleaned it up, followed instructions on setup.. though instructions didn't match completely - called for me to add 5 times the oild than I ws supposed to (but at least they provided the right amount of oil so it was obvious the instructions were wrong). After trying it out and playing with it a bit, noticed the head of the condensation drain valve was broken off. Took it back/exchanged it.
Took the new one home (this one was clean and no obvious broken parts), put oil in it and ran it for the 15 minute break-in time the instructions call for (run it with a open valve that just lets the air out)and after just 13 minutes, the pump started sounding strained. I removed the open valve to let the pump build up pressure... and it practically died when it reached 100psi. I turned it off for a minute, emptied it and tried again - after this, it came to a near halt at just 20psi every time.
So took this one back for one more swap... again looked good out of the box, put oil in it, and ran it for 15 minutes. I then went to pressure it up. This time the pump worked great.. taking it all the way up to the max pressure (125psi) and on to 150psi without shutting off causing the emergency relief valve to pop open and empty the whole tank. I tried about 10 times to empty it a bit and then fill it... half the time, the pressure sensor worked and stopped the pump and half the time it failed to stop.
That was it for me - 3 pumps and 3 different failures before I ever got any use out of them. I returned it and got a Porter Cable... no oiling (ever), no setup, and just worked.

Searched everywhere for a carry unit that could also handle large rear tires for medium size tractors. Small units just couldn't keep up. Large units no problem but difficult to carry to work site. This unit was fantastic. Tire filled up quickly and unit never quit pumping a lot of air, even when also filling the tank. All the included accessories were a bit plus. Even teflon tape! Super unit and not loud at all compared to competition.

I bought this compressor in the store on sale. It works fine, fills up quickly, and gets the job done. The best part of it is all the accessories that come with it (the hose, air gun, tire chuck, and a tire chuck with pressure gauge.
The compressor I purchased had a faulty pressure switch, so it would not stop compressing air when the maximum pressure was reached. When I called the service line, they said it was a common problem with this model. They sent me a free replacement of the switch, but now I have to install it myself. If you don't mind the bit of hassle, the price is right for this one.
Also, there IS some assembly required before you use this one, though the box and instruction manual say otherwise (the air filter and oil cap need to be screwed on).
The accessories are a great bonus for this item, though it is evident that they are cheaply made. No surprise here - I have never been impressed by anything with the "Husky" brand name.
