I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about when saying they couldn't figure out how to open the case. It's pretty logical. There are 2 obvious little orange plastic pins at the top under the case clasp. I simply put a flat head screwdriver between the clear top and orange case body and gave a gentle twist -- voila, open case!
This has most of the sockets that I will use around my house and, since my hands are relatively small, I really like the stubby grip/handle. It's a little cushiony and feels stable (non-slip) in my hand so I'm happy with that.
What's also nice is that the handle flips from side to side so that 1/4" and 3/8" sockets can be accomodated -- they're included. Also nice is that both US and metric sockets are in the kit.
I love that everything is in its own case and that it is easy to have all the sizes and the handle in one small tote that can move from job to job. And the fact that it's bright orange probably means that I'll be able to find it, should I leave it behind somewhere I won't have meant to!
What I DO wish is that the sockets would lock onto the ratchet post. Sure, they fit on properly but I can lift them right off without any real pressure. I would like to have to press some sort of release to get them off and I'd feel better about the quality.
For $10, I'm totally happy with this purchase and will add it to my household tool bag right away. I expect to use this for a long, long time! Give it a try yourself!
Pros: Good Size & Weight, multi-use
Cons: no socket lock that i can find

No, I do not recommend this product.
I probably would have liked this product if I could have figured out how to open the thing! Yep, it's going back to the store first thing in the morning. If I catch heck trying to open it, what's gonna happen if I was to try to use it?
Pros: Good Size & Weight
Cons: case difficult to open. not worth the trouble.
