I've been using this for awhile around the house and I used to use it when I had an RV. I have gotten away from silicone as I feel it loses it's adhesiveness to the suface to soon. Hence no more sealing. Also you can't paint over it or apply another sealant over it. This stuff is tough and sticks and stays. It's great on RV's as it's flexible and paintable. I like the heavier density of it to work with it. I'll agree it does dry kind of fast. I keep all my sealants/adhesives plugged and in a mini fridge. Saves wa$te. Great product!
Not to be a wise acre.... but did the guy who can't get it out of the tube puncture the seal inside the nozzle??
Pros: Very Adhesive, Even Application, High Quality of Material, Good Protection, Looks Great, Dries Quickly, tough, flexible, adheres well
Cons: need to clean up quick during use

Review 2 for PL S40 10 fl. oz. White Polyurethane Window, Door and Siding Sealant
I use these types of products all the time and my first advice to anyone buying any of these tubed caulks and adhesives is to check the manufacture date. Most of these things have a shelf life of 12 months under ideal conditions. The frustrating part is finding the manufacture dates so you can tell, before you buy the stuff, if it is fresh, near expiration or useless. Locktite has a cryptic date code stamped into the tube, pretty poor planning for a big time manufacturer. Make it easy to read, stamp it right on the tube, somewhere, anywhere. I had to actually call Locktite in the store to get a straight answer. Regardless of what you buy, I'm sure they would all work great if it is fresh. As it was, the pile of tubes I had to sort through in Home Depot, the newest stuff had one month left and 8 were six months past their expiration. I can't fault Home Depot or any other store, to dedicate employees to look for expired caulks and adhesives would be silly. I would like to think they have a process for getting rid of expired stuff. Sure, they will refund your money, but what about the manhours wasted removing bad caulk and doing the job again. Considering the nature of this job, of caulking windows and siding, unless you actually checked the caulk the next day most people would not know if it was bad and didn't cure. Of the 7 tubes I bought, one tube ruptured although the caulk was in fine condition. Perhaps the tube had fallen and bent, weakening the tube. In conclusion, check the expirations dates, buy the freshest and check the physical condition of the tubes for damaged or weak spots. If I have any complaints it would be that the age of the store stock was so old.
If you read other reviews and see negative comments, compare their problems to the advice I just gave.
Pros: Good Protection
Cons: cryptic date codes

Review 3 for PL S40 10 fl. oz. White Polyurethane Window, Door and Siding Sealant
If your looking for a one time application, this is it. This stuff is super tacky and will stick to anything, long as it's clean. Then look out, don't try and take it apart. This is the best product I've found. Doesn't harden in the tube after you use it once. You can keep using it everyday for a week. All you do is peel off the nub on the end of the gun and caulk away. Does not harden in the tube. I'm buying more of this product.
Only gig I can give this is the cleanup from your hands. Think it says to use mineral spirits or equivalent. I use hand cleaner to remove it. But again for caulking you can't beat it.
Pros: Very Adhesive, High Quality of Material, Easy to Apply, Easy to Use, Good Protection, Looks High End
Cons: Difficult to Clean

Review 5 for PL S40 10 fl. oz. White Polyurethane Window, Door and Siding Sealant

No, I do not recommend this product.
I have tried 3 different tubes of this polyurethane caulk, hoping to seal around new door and window installs, and all 3 have been impossible to use. It is as though it has begun to harden in the tube before even being opened. I have used 3 other brands of polyurethane and elastomeric caulks when these have failed, and I have had great success with the other brands. Also had poor experiences with Loctite's Fast Grab adhesive, taking longer to adhere than "regular" speed adhesives. I would not buy this product again, and I would be hesitant to try any product made by Loctite ever again.

What can I say - it worked. I have to use this product on my MoHo roof. Sprang a small leak around the sunroof. This is the stuff for a poly roof. I wish all caulking companies would make a "half tube". It hurts to watch the rest of the tube dry out by the time you use it again.
Pros: Very Adhesive, High Quality of Material, Easy to Apply, Good Protection, Dries Quickly
