Customer reviews for 2 in. x 4 in. x 6 ft. Molded Handrail

2 in. x 4 in. x 6 ft. Molded Handrail

Every piece meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. This lumber is pressure treated in order to protect it from termites, fungal decay, and rot. Ideal for a variety of applications, including decks, playsets, landscaping, stair support, walkways and other outdoor projects where lumber is exposed to the elements. This lumber can be painted or stained. When used properly, it is both safe and environmentally friendly.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I purchased this railing from home depot for the stair railing on my pressure treated lumber deck. It looked and felt very nice and high quality. Unfortunately, the inspector informed me (and I looked it up in the national code book) that the maximum width of a handrail is 2 3/4", while this handrail is 3 3/8" wide. I now have to add an external railing to be used instead of this railing. This is a nice top to any railing, but is not up to code for railing use on stairs.
Pros: High Quality of Material, Stylish, Good Shape
Cons: not up to code

No, I do not recommend this product.
Looked better in the picture. One would expect that if you were selling something that people would be putting their hands on that it wouldn't be full of knots and marred even though it is sold as pressure treated.
Cons: poor quality
