HairFree Pop-Up Stopper

Slow or clogged sinks are one of the most common problems facing homeowners. From a technical point-of-view, build-up in the P-trap is one contributor to this problem, as is the accumulation of hair and debris on the standard Pop-Up Stopper connecting rod located inside the drain. Over time, this build-up results in clogs which not only impede the flow of water, but also contribute to an unpleasant odor in the sink areas. Attempts to solve these issues have led to the use of harsh chemicals which pollute water, further degrade air quality and cause safety concerns at home. HairFREE the No-Hair Pop-Up utilizes HairGuard technology to stop the drain from trapping hair and alleviates the build-up of clogs. The HairGuard isolates the pop-up stopper connecting rod, diverting water, hair and other debris safely down the drain. This addresses the accumulation problem and eliminates the need for additional maintenance such as plumbing snakes, dangerous drain cleaners, and messy disassembly, as well as the associated health, safety and environmental concerns.

I've not really had it long enough to provide a thorough evaluation, but so far it's worked great!
I was surprised how easy it was to install and to remove to check for any accumulation of hair and crud. I've only checked it once, but there was no hair to deal with. There was a little bit of crud built up, but it's so easy to remove and clean that it's not an issue. I plan on buying some more of these if it's available in other finishes that match my bathroom fixtures.
Pros: Reliable, Easy to Install, Good Instructions, No Leaks

I was looking for a replacement stopper for my pop up drain and found this at home depot store. It was very easy to install because it has a slot and I could install it from the sink without opening the ball rod assembly. It is easy to remove to cleanup and the hairs are not entangling on the rod now.
Pros: Easy to Install, Good Instructions, No Leaks

No, I do not recommend this product.
The design has a fork rather than the normal hole, so in theory it should be much easier to install and remove. The "hair free" feature didn't do anything for me. When I got it home, I found that it doesn't fit my sink. Nothing on the packaging indicates how to check before buying.
Cons: No Instructions, "universal"?

I was relatively pleased with this product, however I was disappointed with the quality of the flaps. They are paper thin and they were already bent when I received them and then cracked when I installed it the first time. This drain plug is very easy to install, stops hair from getting caught on the drain rod and makes checking the drain simple.
Pros: Easy to Install
Cons: No Instructions, cheaply made

No, I do not recommend this product.
It installed easy enough but it catches toothpaste and hair. The guard is cheap thin plastic. There are better options out there

The idea for the HairFREE pop up drain is great. I will still use the product, but the part of the stopper that should have connected to the bar rod in my sink was not quite long enough. So I am unable to use the lift rod on my sink, I will have to push the stopper down by hand and then pull it up again.
Pros: Easy to Install
Cons: didn't fit my sink
