Let me start by saying it is well worth the money and I am very glad I purchased it. I had someone else install this when I got a new garage door installed. I had a Genie screwdrive, which was loud and I had issues with it closing. The installation seemed very easy and I could have done it. Skip the install kit, as it was the same stuff the garage door guy had in his truck to cut down. Seems like very flimsy stuff. The product is whisper quiet and works awesome. Regular CFL bulbs went in with ease. The garage door also slows down at the end so that it won't slam or shut hard. The motion sensor on the keypad works great to turn on the lighting when entering the garage. It has a timer that can be adjusted so that the garage door will close if you forget to close it. The MYQ lighting switch ensures that my wife and I don't enter a dark house ever again. The only way to know if someone is opening the garage door is from the light turning on, because it is so quiet. Haven't used the backup batter yet, but seems to be a great feature. Garage door could be a little quicker to open and close, but not a big deal. It is not compatible with my HomeLink, but for 7 dollars, Chamberlain will send me a repeater. I did notice the remote rattled on my visor even though I tried to adjust it. Don't know what the deal is, but I will just go with the HomeLink. Programming is very easy and can be done from the main wall button with the different remotes and keyless entry. Wall remote unit displays time, temperature, battery strength, and the time to close your garage door if you forget to close it Overall, 5 stars all around.

Motor end took some extra time. Needed some flat straps and bolts. Otherwise installation was easy. System works great even when on battery. Quiet as advertised. Keyless entry and wall unit easy to program. Range on remote is great. Very pleased.

This garage door opener has served me well for two years now and counting. It was a bit of a pain to install since I had to do it by myself, but overall it went Ok.
This thing is indeed very quiet. The door goes up quickly, and considering we have an over-sized garaged door, that is impressive.
The battery back-up has saved us a few times. We live in an older neighborhood with a lot of old trees. When there is any heavy wet snow or ice we tend to lose power for an hour or so each time. We have no worries about getting in or out. The battery seems to have lost a bit of its capacity, but that is expected over time.
Overall this is a great opener!

Not home link compatible…Home link is the built in adaptor a number of cars uses for openers. The packaging lies! You need to buy an adaptor to make it compatible with most vehicles, even if the vehicle has home link. I have a 2008 GMC truck that has home link and it needed a $35 adaptor to make the home link work. For a top end opener they should include the adaptor. Only found out home link was not available after installation. Who is going to uninstall for a $35 adaptor. DO NOT BUY if you want your cars built in opener to work. The adaptor plugs into the wall making the battery backup worthless….what a joke. Buy a different opener. Only good part is the self closing timer.

Looked on-line for reviews and found this to be one of the better, quieter ones. So far so good! I figured the Ease of Installation was excellent because I hired someone to do it and he did it quickly. (Changed out my chain drive to this belt drive in a hour.) 'Way' quieter than the chain. Also the experienced guy that installed it said it's a great brand, great product.

This is a great door opener, which I had installed by Jaydor company, along with a new door from that company. This door opener is definitely a big upgrade for me, compared to my old Sears Craftsman that came with my house when I bought it. It is very quiet, and uses 2 light bulbs that can go to a maximum of 100 watts each - a definite improvement over what I had before. You can even use CFL bulbs. The Craftsman could only take 1 bulb up to 75 watts. Of of my main reasons in buying this is the battery backup, and the other is that it supports smartphone control, via the internet gateway that has to be purchased separately. The control panel has some good features with the motion sensing light, time to close feature, which closes the door automatically after a certain amount of time. You can also turn on the lights without opening the door, in case you need more light to work on a project in your garage. And the control panel has a lockout feature where you can turn it on to prevent someone from using the remote control, if let's say you are on vacation. And it has a nice keypad too for being able to get in that way. I bought the internet gateway separately on amazon and set that up ahead of time as much as I could and finished the rest after the opener was installed. And the door works good with the smartphone app too. It even has a safety feature to beep when you close the door with the app.
This is definitely a good opener, but I have to say that the control panel that came with this is NOT what I was expecting. There are some pictures that are posted by other reviewers that show the "smart control panel", which displays the time and temperature. This is what I thought I would be getting, but this is not the case. Instead you get a different one, which is the one that is displayed in the standard pictures that Home Depot has in the upper left hand corner of the page. This is not a major issue for me, and in retrospect is probably better as it's one less thing I have to worry about as far as changing the time for daylight savings time. But I find it surprising that there is a cheaper model of the door opener for $31 less that has the nicer looking smart control panel with it. I would have thought that since I bought the more expensive one, that it would have better features. I should have done more research. Again, this is not a big deal, but it is something to be aware of, considering that pics from other reviewers show a different control panel than what you get with this.

I enjoy using the quiet garage door opener. It was easy to install and programming was simple and safe . The instructions were perfect worded. I recommend this product to everyone. Although I installed this by myself, I recommend having a helper. Chamberlain should be proud of this product. Thanks again.

Company should provide keychain remote control rather than having to pay an additional $35.Original remotes are too bulky to carry around in your pocket.It would also be great if the company would provide an emergency key entrance cylinder and key so that if the power goes out and the backup battery fails ,you can still gain entrance to the garage from the outside.When I called the manufacturer about this,they stated that I would have to purchase this cylinder from a locksmith and install it myself or have the locksmith install it.There was no mention of needing this cylinder for an emergency lockout since this is a stand alone garage.Since I already paid an installer to install the garage door opener(contract installer from Home Depot) this would have been helpful information to have had as I was not now going to pay an additional fee to a locksmith.Most likely the original installer could have installed the opener and the emergency lockout cylinder. While the instruction booklet looks complete ,I believe the installation may be too complex unless you are familiar with similiar installations.As a senior citizen I would not attempt this installation.Professional installer did the job in about 1 hour ,however,he was able to use several of the existing parts of the prior garage door opener.

I am 68 and my garage door is very heavy. This opener has allowed me to continue my hobbies and not hurt my back. The install was not very difficult, and I was finished in 6 hours. It is very smooth and quiet in operation and has plenty of features. Well worth the price !

This is my 3rd opener in 30+ years, The garage is our main entrance so it gets a lot of use. Been using it for about 2 weeks now, it is so quiet the dogs do not here it when it is opening, Instillation was pretty straight forward, just follow the steps. and everything was included, Just basic hand tools needed.

The product looks nice. It is just too bad I cannot use it yet.
I started installing the opener and realized that they included the wrong control panel. I called customer support and they said they would send me the correct one. That would be fine except later in the installation process I also realized that they did not include the sensors. This unit will not function without the sensors.
I called customer service again and they said they could include the sensors with the correct control panel but that it would take 7-10 business days to arrive. I asked them to expedite the shipment and they refused. They told me that I should have checked all the parts before starting installation. They are correct, but that does not help me in any way. Because of Chamberlin's lack of quality control I cannot use my garage door opener for 2 weeks.
Honestly, it is really surprising to me that I would have these issues with Chamberlin's flagship product. It makes me worry about the overall quality of the product and how it will function in the future.
In conclusion, if you buy this, check to make sure you have all the parts and that they are the correct parts before you do anything else!

It is very quiet.
Not work with any Homelink from our Toyota Sienna 2005, Volvo C-70 2009, Acura MDX 2008. Was told to buy a repeater connecting to an AC source. Then what the point for power backup with the drive if the repeater loses power??? Wanna to return!
Neither Homelink or Chamberlain address this isssue at their websites.

I just had this installed 2 days ago and this morning it started making a really loud beeping sound every minute!!! I read the manual and it has to do with the battery. Well, because I am not much with instructions and paid someone to do it, wasnt why is was making that sound. I called customer service and explained my problem and was told that the battery is DEAD!!!! Really, I just purchased it and the battery is dead! The rep told me he would be sending a replacement battery and given me instructions on how to remove the OLD battery so it could stop beeping. I sure wasnt expecting this from Chamberlain especially they were quite more expensive than the other brands. Sigh, things could never just go as smooth...

Easy to follow instructions made for easy installation. Extremely quiet operation. Nice features. The only downside: I could not get the opener to work with Homelink on my vehicles - one a 2010 Cadillac CTS and the other a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup. Many, many attempts to get Homelink to recognize the Chaimberlain opener with no success. We have to use a Chaimberlain remote in both vehicles rather than Homelink. We've already had a power failure following a storm and the battery backup worked fine.
