I'm changing my house to zone cooling. My battle axe of a central air broke weeks back and after shopping around for a new Central air unit with install was 5K plus!! and that was for 12 SEER. Lame. Its 2015 and the rest of the world has been using mini ductless systems for years. Anyway, this 22 SEER ultra efficient ductless AC heat pump went in without a hitch. I did 95% of the install myself and used my local AC guy to leak check and put on the vacuum before the refrigerant release.. A little elbow grease and some patience saved me a lot of money. The system has been running for a week and is whisper quiet .. sometimes you can hear the expansion and contraction of the air handler mounted on then inside wall. It is plastic after all. The true test will be this summer in the Arizona heat. I'm using this system for 900 SQFT great room. Thenline set is sold seperatly and is pricey at 199$ for 15 ft. It did come with a shielded electric cable and the insulation is top quality. Still seems a little high for some copper tubing and some shielded wire... I'll be getting the 9000BTU for the bedroom next. If you need to cool an entire house this is not the system for you. If you want to slowly zone your house to an ultra efficeint system room by room and your not in a rush.. this is it. Not sure about the brand .. It's Chinese and the research shows they are a major world manufacture of splits.. Time will tell. 2500$ installed.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Lots of Features, High Quality, Looks Great, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design

Review 2 for Ultra Efficient 24,000 BTU (2 Ton) Ductless (Duct Free) Mini Split Air Conditioner with Inverter, Heat, Remote 208-230V
This Gree heat pump took me a week to install and it is working well. Negatives are: The manuals are written in Chinglish and require some interpretation. The installation manual is worthless so it's best if you already know what needs to be done or use a contractor with experience installing mini split systems. The list of factory authorized GREE dealers is very small so i'm a bit concered what Home depot will do if I ever have to make a claim. There are no factory authorized dealers within 500 miles of my location. I did the installation myself and then hired an HVAC company to leak test, purge the lines, and add the extra coolant needed for the 50ft line set, The electrical connectors could be improved considering they are for high voltage and subject to the outdoor environment. The connectors are more like what you would expect for a low voltage electronic device than a high voltage appliance. On the positive side, the unit started cooling right away and had no problems at start up. This unit has the highest efficiency rating and can heat as well as cool. A real bonus when you compare it to other manufacturers. Most competitor products are cooling only and cost the same. Too early to comment on the longevity of the unit since I just completed the install. The unit is nice and quiet an I am very pleased with the end result.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Lots of Features, Easy to Use, High Quality, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design
Cons: instruction manual poorly written

Review 3 for Ultra Efficient 24,000 BTU (2 Ton) Ductless (Duct Free) Mini Split Air Conditioner with Inverter, Heat, Remote 208-230V
I replaced a 18,000btu Senville Aura which was in my living room for only eight weeks. The Senville lowered my June bill which was 206.00 in 2012 with a temp setting of 81 using the Central American Standard AC to $137.00. with a temp setting of 71. And for the month of July the Senville struggled to maintain a temp setting of 74 at it's lowest setting and lowered my July 2012 bill which was $274.00 with a temp setting of 81 to $173.00 with an average temp setting of 74. I installed the new Tera myself the placed air handler in the exact same place the Senville was located to cover 500q ft. It's over kill and extremely quite. It easily maintains temp and dose not struggle and always runs in low to medium load or simply sleeps until it's needed. Be advised these units never turn off. They just merely run very slow.
So far the Gree easily maintains temp of 72 with an average outside temp of 110 degrees. Be advised these units never turn off they just simply idle. I will update this review in 5 weeks with my 2013 August bill. My 2012 August was $325.00. I'm only expecting a bill of $150.00 or less.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Lots of Features, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Stylish, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design, users manual not so good. but customer service is

Review 4 for Ultra Efficient 24,000 BTU (2 Ton) Ductless (Duct Free) Mini Split Air Conditioner with Inverter, Heat, Remote 208-230V
It was easy to install, less than a day and it was up and running. The only issue I had was the fill ports are metric not standard so I had to silver solder some standard fittings into the line. It has leaked from the fitting on the outside unit and I have had to add 410A twice. I may have to redo the fitting by draining the freon (draw all the freon back into the compressor by closing the high valve and let it run till there is no freon left in the lines and then close the low side) and clean the fitting.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Lots of Features, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Stylish, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design
Cons: non standard fittings

Review 5 for Ultra Efficient 24,000 BTU (2 Ton) Ductless (Duct Free) Mini Split Air Conditioner with Inverter, Heat, Remote 208-230V
It cost me $6 for 12 hours of use. My electric is .14 per kWh. The heat is good and did heat my house trailer. The install took some time by a HVAC company. I installed the electrical circuit for the disconnect. Overall I spent 2500 in parts, unit, and install. It has been in the teens for temp here while running it. I'll repost when its consistently in the 20's. See if that makes a difference on power usage. Overall its a nice unit. Hope I didn't buy a really expensive a/c unit.

bought this and a 12000btu unit electric bill was $480 nov dec installed unites day meter was read dec jan bill was $240 and every month since has been over 30% less than previous year installation was easy did get refrigeration tech to hook up cooper and vacuum lines. While self installation ruled out utility rebates saved more than amount of rebate.
