We got inside mounted blinds and they came with out side mounted trim that did not fit. The installer cut what he could to make it fit on site, but then it had a ruff unfinished edge and then he reordered the rest and it came wrong the second time so our blinds are still not finished as we move into the 3/4th month. also the rods that open and close them were all different sizes. However the people we worked with were all helpful and polite, but in the end we still do not have what we paid for. I have included 2 pictures to show the missing returns and the horribly ruff edges of the ones that are up, not to mention that that also are not stained or treated and therefor open to moisture and other problems. Note the lady we spoke and the second man to come to the house did the best they could and were very polite.
I also now have al kinds of peaces on my back porch that I can not get rid of until this job is done, muchness the time I had to spend writing this
We could not be happier with my new blinds. We bought faux wood blinds and they have added an additional level of privacy and comfort to our home and give it a very cozy feeling. The woman we worked with at Home Depot in the blinds department was great. She walked us through our choices and made sure we had all the bits and pieces we needed. (For example, whether we want the controls on the right or the left, or whether we wanted an attachment at the bottom of the blinds on the doors.) She should be given a raise as she is extremely good with people.She worked with the installer, who was willing to install the blinds on a Sunday so we could have them in time for a family get together. The installer was very fast and efficient. We were really glad we had them installed. He said he has been doing installation for years, and he did our job (ten blinds) in a couple of hours. It would have taken us a week and even then we couldn't have done it as well as he did. We are very pleased with the product and the service.

Good service from installer, terrible service from Home Depot!
The installation was fine. The problem was the long delay in getting the blinds, the erratic service at the Home Depot, and then having two defective blinds. Clearly defective, yet Home Depot required the installer to come out to the house again, wasting their time and mine, and yes, they still don't work. I've had similar blinds in another house for ten years, with no such problems, so I understand how these blinds work. And two of the twelve do not work. And now, how long will it be until Home Depot gets the replacement blinds to me???

Courteous service but installation was a bit sloppy
We had window shades installed and they came a bit earlier than expected which was fine. The shades were installed to the ceiling instead of to the masonry wall which we had paid an extra $50 for. Didn't notice until they had left, but they had also installed the two shades half an inch off center, so the edge of the frame is visible on the left side and it hangs further over the frame on the right side. The installer did call me back the following Monday but when I called them back a few days later, they never got back to me.
The installer had 2 sets of windows with a total of six blinds to install. He worked quickly and precisely. The three kitchen blinds are even and symmetrical. The bathroom blinds were a tougher job, two small sidelights with an inside mount and the larger, center window blinds mounted outside the frame. He was extremely neat and very polite. I would highly recommend Home Depot for blinds installation.
I would not recommend getting window blinds from HD. I have had good experiences with other departments but not window treatments. If someone asks where my blinds came from I would tell them but also tell them of the experience I had using the Gretna store.
Customer Service - The old lady that helped us with the blinds selection was fabulous. Her age showed her experience and she guided us well through selections.
What did not work well at all is the time it took for Home Depot to have the blinds ready for us. It was more than a month that it took to have the blinds shipped to the installer. This is the third home that we installed custom blinds on, all through Home Depot. This was the first time that it took so long.
To add to it, I have a blind missing as well. It's been 2 weeks since installation and I still have not heard from Home Depot or the Installers on the same.
My rating reduced to average for the time duration taken. Levelor Blinds - we love and would recommend always.
I really appreciated the customer service I received from Divina. She had great input and follow up. I appreciated her attention to order details etc.
Milton Armstrong, the installer was very professional. He made sure each blind was hung to my satisfaction. He was willing to communicate with me to schedule each phase of the install. I would highly recommend him.
I custom ordered window treatments thru Home Depot and I was pressured into ordering Levelor vs. Bali which I have previously used in the past. I had to have numerous blinds replaced, one was replaced 3 times! They are starting to bow but when I called to see if I could reorder with another brand, they told me no since they were custom. My sales lady said she did not work on commission but someone is getting a kickback from Levelor with the pressure they put on purchasing that brand. I would never recommend Levelor brand or Home Depot for custom blinds due to my experience!

Friendly and knowledgable help in the store and Milt was a great installer.
When we purchased our blinds, we went for the measure/install. The installer made the correct measurements, but a noted deduction was not taken on the order. The order arrived, but there was some confusion with the different store people who we spoke to, so the install request was not made until a week after the blinds arrived. Then the installer discovers the incorrect size of a blind. He installed teh brackets and set up a special order with the store - it actually takes longer to get than the original order. I picked up the last blind and installed it myself. Very happy with the final result. Very happy with the installer. Only OK with the Home Depot store.
