Kitchen with Staron countertops
The counter-tops are superb and the installers did a terrific job. Despite my best efforts with flashlights and a magnifying glass, I cannot find the seams where the different parts were united.
There is one place where the installers forgot to sand thoroughly, but that spot is in a corner and is not noticeable unless you run your fingers over it.
So far the Staron product is great. The surface cleans easily and the integrated sinks are a huge benefit. The sinks occasionally scuff with large pots and pans. However, the minor scuff marks are easily cleaned with a mild abrasive Scotch pad.
In all, a great product.

Countertop installation project was handled very professionally and the countertop looks great! Scheduling the installation was flexible and easy, and the installers came as scheduled. They even crafted a cutting board from the sink cutouts, a welcome surprise! All went off without a hitch and the new counter is fantastic!
Installers arrived on time and were organized. They were polite and friendly. Answered any question I had with sufficient detail and very positive. I was amazed with the ability to hide the seam. I saw where the seam was before they started but although I knew its location I could not see it when they finished. Amazing!!

Took an additional 3 weeks to get installed. I will Will not be using home depot for the rest of my home remodel. Could not get Home Depot to contact the counter top installer, to find out why it was taking an additional 3 weeks. Finally called store and told them if counter top was not installed by the end of the week i would be cancel my order. Guess what, counter top was installed by the end of the week.

The countertops were installed on time and in a very professional manner. They cleaned up everything and answered questions I had about cleaning and such. We are very satisfied. This is the second time we have had work done through Home Depot an will continue to use their services.

We finally decided to take the plunge before our 2nd goes off to college in the Fall and upgrade our kitchen countertops with granite, with a new undermount composite granite sink & upgraded faucet. We also did numerous other cosmetic upgrades ourselves to update our kitchen (painting, installed crown molding & tile backsplash). In a word - fantastic! We cannot be more pleased with the incredible manner in which our new granite countertops have completely transformed our kitchen. The installation was extremely smooth and accomplished in less than 2 hours, and the crew could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We are thrilled with our decision to use Home Depot, and know we made the right decision. Thank you, HD!

While the installers were there, they were friendly and explained things very well. I had to get an extra seam (and it's larger than expected) in the countertops - but I still loved them. The hole cut for the cooktop was too big - you can see a little space around the edges. I didn't want to have to go without a kitchen and re-do everything so I let it be. The backsplash they installed at the same time has some messy grout areas - and the grout and silicone are white -- which stands out with tan and brown colors everywhere else. I tried to contact them about a fix by email - they said they'd answer within a day. A week later I called and was told to call another number where nobody answered. I sent another email which I haven't had a reply sent yet. So, I thought they were great during the install, but not very helpful afterwards.

Working with the Home Depot specialist was great - she understood the issue at hand (most countertops are not designed for built-in replacement, only the cabinet bases purchased/installed). Pleasant to work with, got the right infomation, and even after the fact the Customer rep got the company on the line quickly.
The subcontract work was not so great. The man measuring it disagreed with my request to have the top fit under the existing tile on all three sides, saying it could not be done, yet it was before and was this time. Within days the bevel edge developed a chip that came off while wiping the top with a wet paper towel. I also noted, in better light (installation was at night), that the edge between the top and the bevel was not cleanly sealed, asking for trouble. The first contact was rather abrasive, almost accusatory while asking if I hit the counter, which was a resounding NO. Before the man who came to "fix' it arrived, I noted another section #separate smaller section, other side of stove# had a rough spot. While inspecting it, I found this was a chipped area that had been fixed prior to installation, but not smoothly. The man's "fix" for the new chip was anything but and I got tired of the repetitive "you have to be careful' admonitions and just wanted him to leave. It is a counter top, it should withstand normal use, and it had been a few days of almost NO use when this chip occured. The tube of used SeamFil he left for me was used to fill the chip area he did not fill. Since then another chip has appeared, with more potentials and I expect more (first was in days, second was at less than one year) despite limited use (kids are grown and gone). My previous beveled edge top lasted 15+ years, and could have been longer (ex-in-law damaged it), and the edges were and still ARE complete (cut it in half to remove it and the remains are in the basement to be used for other purposes - still looks great despite the small in-law damage and cutting). I sent another message regarding my displeasure with the condition of the counter, and received reply that my message was forwarded to the warranty dept. that I would hear from them... No word from them again and it has been over 2 months now.
Would I go with HD again? Yes, provided they could assure me we would not use the same subcontract company. Unfortunately I received a phone request for rating from HD a day or so after the counter was installed, and gave the subcontract good review. Had the call come a week later, perhaps the response would not be so good, but again, it was not HD, but the subcontract who I have the issue with.

Installation/Measuring was fine. The Product that was initially delivered (around mid March) had a defect. The correction process was horrible. They came out twice trying to "fix" it. So a month goes by and they decide they are going to replace it. Again twice they call me at the last minute (day before installation) saying they cannot install due defects in the product. They ended up ordering a new 2013 slab of Silestone and installation went smoothly. I'm still waiting for my contractor to come back to do my backsplash because he is busy with other jobs. I took 3 days off of work for this. I'll never go to Home Depot again for any large project.

My husband and I recently found out that the dishwasher would not come out after the granite was installed. If they had let us know this then we would have asked them to build the counter tops up a bit so we wouldn't have a problem getting the dishwasher out to get it repaired or replaced. Now we are stuck with having an issue with the dishwasher problem. So we aren't too happy with our install because of this and will have to have it redone eventually all because the installers didn't make us aware of this and give us an option to resolve the issue at the time.

We had all new the kitchen cabinets and counter tops installed. When the cleaning crew came in after installation to they found 1. the installation rubbish under the house 2. Two serous leaks on the first floor from the sinks and ice-maker incorrect reconnected in the second floor.3. Stained painting and part of the ceiling fallen down on the first floor 4. Gaps between the cabinets and counter tops and the kick board did not fit.I was told that I would be reimbursed for the plumbing and painting repairs that could not wait. However, apparently there needed to be parts ordered and the rest of the issues have not been taken care of. Thank you.

Because my installer did not look at the home depot design plan he had crown moldings left over which meant the work was not up to par with the designer. And wasn't what I paid for. He lied and said I told him I didn't want other pieces added to the cabinet after HE explained they were unecessary. I told him I would think about it and later said, since I paid for the bottom molding please install it. It never happened. He did not cover his nail holes or gapping because he said I didn't have wood filler and he didn't have any in his truck. He aruged with the delivery guys who delivered my appliances because they were trying to explain how they needed a hole drilled in the cabinet to install a vent. He did a sloppy half job on the drywall leaving the tape exposed and a lumpy finish.
