The installation company originally scheduled the measurement to happen on a Friday but they did not arrive until the next Monday with no communication indicating they would be delayed. The biggest issue is the damage to the existing frame when the old storm door was removed. The holes that were left are excessive, unsightly and there was no reason for them to have occured had care been taken during the process.
No, I do not recommend this product.

My dealing with the Home depot went very smoothly, yet the installation timeframe was not as promised by the Home Depot. It took the installer almost a week and a half to come out for the install. According to my paperwork, I was supposed to get my stucco patchwork done as well but the installer said that I would have to speak to the person at Home Depot. The installer said that he could only re-install the security door and not clean up what someone else had done. According to the Home Depot paperwork, I am entitled to patchwork of up to 4" from the wall to the metal framework of my door. The patchwork is well under that amount. I will contact the person who took my order to ask when this work will be done and by whom.

Customer service at store was horrible.Took 3 months for door to come in and when it did it was the wrong door. Was promised follow up from the store and never received. I had to initiate all follow up. They did however offer me free installation. That was the only good part of the whole ordeal. I would have paid double for the customer service I received from the installer. He was the only person that was helpful. Will not be going back for my future purchases... To many other options out there. Most everyone in the process was not concerned with helping to solve my issue. Poor, Poor, Poor service from the store. Great install, which is contracted out.

The installer was very good. Explained what he was going to do and we both inspected the door before installation. We have an issue now that will need some attention. A part of the door is coming apart. HELP!!!!

The installation itself was fine when they actually arrived. They were supposed to arrive on the Friday before my husband was to deploy to Afghanistan. Two hours after their latest arrival time they still had not shown up and had not made any effort to inform us that the installation person would be late. We ended up calling Home Depot to find out what was going on and they said they would have them call us. It took them 35 minutes for them to actually call us and when they did they said the guy would be at least another 30 minutes until he arrived at our home. At that point we decided to cancel and reschedule. My husband only had two more days left here until he deployed and one was wasted on waiting for an installation guy to not show up and not call. I think the company who installed it was very unprofessional to not inform someone that they would not be showing up for another 3 hours after their latest arrival time. We wasted a day we could have spent together enjoying quality time together instead of waiting around for nobody to show up. and we are both very disappointed. No effort was made by Home Depot to rectify the situation.

The entire process took too long because I had to speak with about seven or eight people to purchase and have the storm door installed. Also, the salesman at my local Home Depot did not tell me that the insulated storm door that I purchased was going to weigh 50 pounds. I can't possibly pick it up, let alone put it in the door frame. Had I known that it would be too heavy for me to pick up, I never would have ordered it. This entire process was way too complicated and lengthy, starting with scheduling an appointment for the measurement, for which I was charged $35 and was told it was incorrect by the first installer, who told me he couldn't do the installation! The Anderson storm door is of good quality - it is just too heavy and the ordering and installation process was difficult.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I was called they arrived with smiles and confidence in themselves. I stopped worrying. The door was installed, tested, and demonstrated in the operation. The gentlemen cleaned up all the construction material ( papers, wrappings, nails) they did not leave any mess and my door is BEAUTIFUL. And I feel safe and secure. Thank you William.

Took about six weeks before the product arrived and during the day of installation, parts were missing so it took another 10 days before we could finally get the door installed. Product is good, installation went fast when they did install it. Took almost two months from date of purchase to installation.

The actual installation of our storm door was skillful and quick. However there were delays in scheduling that shouldn't have happened. Also the lock was supposed to be keyed to match our exterior door but there were a number of glitches about that and it never got done.

The whole process was very easy. We took advantage of the $1 measure offer and that was done quickly, the door was in stock as well, so from the time we ordered the measure to when the job was complete was less than 10 days I think. Fast and a job well done!

caulk on plastic table
There is a deep, curved gouge in my storm door where a tool or something scraped as the installer fastened the lock of the door handle. I noticed it several days later (we do not come in through that door often) but definitely did not happen after installation because the gouge goes under the fitting. The back door was installed fine, but the installer got some of the caulk on a plastic outdoor table of mine. He also left a half empty soda can. The table and soda can I can brush off, but I am a bit upset about the gouge on the door. It's a custom sized door, so replacing it means a long wait.
