I revised my order twice by email and each time was given prompt and curteous service. I was very happy with the two hour window for the installer to show up, most places are three to four hour windows. The installer was very prompt and did an excellent job. I was very impressed with home depots install process.
I was very pleased with the flow of the iMy Install program. After purchasing the storm door to be installed, I immediately recieved confirmation and information regarding the next steps that would be taken and the expected lead time to complete the install. The installer arrived on time, with a professioal attitude. The installer was very efficient and accurate and the install was complete in a timely manner.

Review 3 for Storm Door Installation
took a long time for installation and follow up repair
We ordered the storm door and were told someone would come out to measure. They said the worker would leave a card and we would be called within a day or so to make an appointment for installation. I had to follow up to make the appointment when nobody called about 5 days after the measurement was taken. Then it took about two and a half to three weeks for the guy to come and install it. (Only after calling to inquire about when someone would come several times) When the guy came, the door handle was broken. He said he ordered a new one to be shipped to my home and when it arrived, to call and he would come to fix the handle. Said handle never arrived. It was only when a customer service representative called to find out when I would pay my 20% owed after installation amount that I said I would pay when the door was complete. This person had to call and order a handle but then it took a few more phone calls and a few more weeks until the handle came and someone finally came to replace the broken one. I would not use Home Depot again for an installation.
The process for the most part went smooth. I did have one billing error but they corrected it with in a couple days. The only other issue was just the initial getting in contact with the installer. pretty minor though compared to the rest of the excellent job!
We ordered in March 2013 and after repeated scheduling and first install visit with damaged storm door, we did not receive the door until August 2013. The management level response provided by Home Depot explains the whole attitude of Home Depot . We will never use Home Depot again and recommend to all our friends and acquaintances not to as well. I would be happy to discuss the details if you are interested but I have my doubts as to whether anything will change within the Home Depot organization for the positive. Apparently true customer service is only lip service for Home Depot !
It took almost a month to get my door installed , went to the store twice to find out what was wrong !! Was told there was a mix up in paper work .!! Took 2 week to get measurement !! Then when set up for install the door wasn't held so the installer had to cancel the install appointment so I missed a day of work for nothing !!! Nobody from the store called to let me know , I had to call to find out why they were late !! Terrible experience !!! Installers did a great job when the were able to install !!! Not happy with customer service

We are extremely sorry for the service you received. We thank you for your feedback and will use it to improve our process. Thanks.
The installer has been to my home three times and it is still not right. The store rep, store manager, the installer and the president/owner of the installation company all know this. I was told two weeks ago the install company would be out to my home for yet a fourth time but no one has called or come out. MY TIME HAS VALUE TOO!!!
The contractor rep. who measured for our storm door provided misleading information to Home Depot which caused us to be overcharged $341.00 for installation. When we questioned Home Depot re. the charge prior to installation we really did not get a satisfactory answer from the contractor through the Home Depot department mgr. When I contacted the installation contractor's sales rep. @ Home Depot's suggestion, he called me a miser which I did not appreciate and was of no help. When the installers arrived, they did an outstanding job and immediately told us we should never have been charged the extra $341.00. We have received a refund from Home Depot and all is well.

Smooth install with great results. Dogs Love their Door
The product itself and the installation were adequate but the process was terribly slow. It took over a week to schedule the measurement, another week for the installer to deliver the measurements to Home Depot, then I had to go back to the store to complete the purchase. I attempted to complete the order over the phone but was told it had to be done in person. That was frustrating as I had already been to the store to select the product and begin the process--just another delay. Then there was the long wait for fabrication, the wait time of which exceeded the estimate of the salesperson. When finally the product was ready from the manufacturer, it took another 10 days before the installer had an opening to come out. Oh, and at each of the installer appointments I was given only an approximate window during which they would come and was told that I had to be there or they would have to reschedule. That left me with a terrible impression of how important my time was. I will never order a custom product or installation service from Home Depot again. I don't have that kind of time.
Employees taking the order at Home Depot - window /door installation --. Were unprofessional, rude and failed to input correct data (not once but thrice) Jose and Linda --MOD on duty had to intervene correct and assist
As a customer, it is important to know that one deserves, attention, courtesy and respect. When this fails, nothing works and it leaves an unsavoury memory

Lengthy install process with measurement difficulties.
I ordered in June 2013. Order ID 3517-78620. Then in September a CS rep called me to void this order number and replace it with a new order number. so many install problems. Due to measuring. Homedepot finally installed in September almost 3 mos after ordering. It took 3 hit and miss installs. I received no compensation what so ever for my patience. Usually management will offer a reduced rate or a small gift card. My order was $983.10. Placed 6/21/2013.
The installation company originally scheduled the measurement to happen on a Friday but they did not arrive until the next Monday with no communication indicating they would be delayed. The biggest issue is the damage to the existing frame when the old storm door was removed. The holes that were left are excessive, unsightly and there was no reason for them to have occured had care been taken during the process.

I’m sorry for the problems you had with your storm door installation. I have reached out to our installers and the store and we will be contacting you immediately regarding these outstanding issues. Thank you.
Doors were installed and once in place we were delighted with our purchase, product quality and installation process. One issue has developed and that is with the sun hitting the rear door, the heat is expanding the metal that then makes the door harder to open and close. However, HD is sending someone out to evaluate situation.

Review 20 for Storm Door Installation
from Louisville, KY, USA
Installer was efficient, cleaned up, explained the doors and even advised that a piece was missing.
Overall, the experience was good. It did take a couple of tries to get the right info, but it was just based on inexperience. We did have to call after a couple of weeks and were told it had just been missed. After that, everything went smoothly. Our installer did tell us there is a piece missing off the front door and that he would call it in. We have not heard anything since then.
