Don't just mask smelly garbage odors with fragrances and messy baking soda; eliminate them. The upgraded dzt13 is now equipped with a carbon filter gate (CFG) that uses activated carbon to effectively eliminate and neutralize the toughest odors. Smelly and oversized garbage doesn't stand a chance with the upgraded 13 gallon touch less trash can. Its extra wide opening (11.75 diagonal) allows disposal of larger debris and comes equipped with the most advanced infrared sensor technology on the market; opening the lid automatically when you approach within 6 inches, and closing it when you walk away. Thanks to the automatic lid closing sensor, the built-in carbon filter can work its magic; eliminating and neutralize nasty odors. The pre-installed carbon filter gate (CFG) has a 3-dimensional surface area, maximizing the deodorizer's odor-absorption capabilities. The deodorizer is non-scented and environmental friendly, making it safe for use around children and pets and providing you with a cleaner and fresher home. The deodorizer can fight odors for 3 months before needing replacement.

"We have newborn twin girls. Considering that we go through at least 20 diapers a day, a more traditional diaper disposal product wasn't really an option. The iTouchless trash can is an amazing diaper pail. The automatic lid is excellent for when one's hands are full of smelly diaper. The trash can itself is virtually air tight, so no rank odors escape. Finally, I really like that the trash can uses standard 13 gallon trash bags that I can buy in bulk.
The quality of construction seems solid, and the lid mechanism is holding up through heavy use. Sadly, the A/C adapter isn't included, so consider purchasing one when you buy the trash can. The cost of 4 D cell batteries almost offsets the cost of the adapter."

"Sensor is a half second more delayed than I would like but it's still a nice trash can. Hard to install the batteries and put the battery cover back on... I just gave up and ended up taping the batteries in place. All the guests love it! Bought one for myself and my boyfriend and he enjoys his. The carbon odor-absorber is a nice addition."

"Our situation called for a trash can to be in an open area with a view from three rooms. This product gives a clean "appliance type" look, is compact and becasue of it's height takes up less floor space and allows the dog to pass without triggering the top to open. We recycle so we bought two. The carbon filter is a bonus and the operation of the touchless top opening and closing is great."

"We've had this for 4 years and only replaced the batteries once. It's fun to use and is a good conversation piece when friends come! However, in the first year, we had to return the top for repair as the sensor stopped working. Now after another 3 years, the plastic cog wheel that raises the lid, broke and can't be glued even with the appropriate "Krazy Glue". Replacement heads are sold by the manufacturer for $39.95 plus shipping. We are now looking to see if there are other units available that night be more durable. One thing we didn't like was the lid opening whenever we walked past the unit - the sensor was too sensitive. We might opt at getting a good "step-on" trash can!"
