"These are good trash cans and seem very durable so far. However, the lids are cheaply made - too thin and too delicate. Rubbermaid cut corners on quality on the lid. The lid also locks onto the trash can, which is good as it is very light and gets blown around by any breeze, but when you want to remove the lid, it does not come off easily when you want it to."

"Price was decent so I picked up 2 cans...does the job of keeping critters or neighborhood cats from getting into the bags. But plastic can is a bit flimsy so when moving heavier stuff in it, it flexed alot more than usual cans Ive owned."

"I use these to store ( outdoor shed ) a large winter boat cover & an inflatable boat . Stays dry and critter free.
Thinner plastic then the more expensive ones and with heavy outdoor use it wouldn't last as long, but for my use coupled with a great new lower HD price it can't be beat."

"Then pick a more durable can. The squirrels chewed through the base, lid and handle area to get into the trash. I'm sure the cans would have survived for a lot longer than 1 year if the squirrels didn't eat through it like it was made of cardboard."

"I use these trash cans for yard debris mostly as a means to save money on yard bags, especially in fall. They are durable - gotten knocked over etc - with no breaks or cracks in them. And they are not too expensive. Excellent trash cans. Love rubbernmaid!!"
