What is the circumference of the base of this faucet? Does it rotate?

February 18, 2012
I have a Moen faucet similar to this one but it was installed without the rectangular deck plate due to limited room. It won't rotate because back splash at the base has caused it to seize up. As long as the base is the same size or even a little bigger, will this faucet work as a replacement?

Thank you for your inquiry. I believe you may be looking for the faucet diameter, and that is 2-1/2". Yes, the faucet body does rotate. Without knowing your countertop thickness and the hole diameter we cannot definitively determine if this will work with your application, but it might.

Thank you for your inquiry. The flow rate for this Coralais Faucet is 1.8 gallons per minute, which may be less than your previous faucet, so it may be working properly, but is different from what you are used to. However, in case there is a product issue, please try the following:
First check to see if any of the supply hoses under the sink are kinked. If you have no hoses kinked you may need a new valve cartridge.
Since you have a pull out sprayhead, take the sprayhead off, hold the remaining hose downward into the sink, and turn the water on. If you have good water pressure out of the hose, you probably need a new sprayhead.
Should you identify some type of product issue, you could contact our Customer Care Center at 1-800-4-KOHLER (1-800-456-4537). Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks again.

Thank you for your inquiry. Sorry to hear your Coralais is difficult to swivel. If you can swivel the faucet, we recommend you replace the o-ring (KOHLER part #1010167) and order a lubricant packet (KOHLER Part #1045715-P) for the replacement o-ring. You may also see some residue under the handle (water calcification), which you can clean with a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. If the faucet does not swivel at all, it may be difficult to repair. As for detailed instructions, it may help to refer to the installation instructions, which can be found on this Coralais product page under MORE INFO. Otherwise, the only place we can refer you for detailed instructions is our website: http://www.us.kohler.com/us/ where you can type "replacing seals on a single control faucet" into the search field to find a document under "Help Topics" that will provide details on how to remove the handle.

Hello this is Tangelo from the Home Depot Community!

It's difficult to say what needs to be replaced, you need to check underneath with a flashlight, turn on the water, and watch to see where the leak is coming from, then you will know, It could be something that has worked it self loose, like where the sprayer hose attaches to the spray head, or the opposite end of that hose could be loose or may need a $3 washer. Take pictures and bring them into your nearest Home Depot for assistance. Below I have included the installation manual, or you can also contact Kohler.

I hope this helps, if you have any more questions you can find me on our website at community.homedepot.com

I'm not sure but it may be the 'cartridge' ... this was the problem I had with my previous faucet which I replaced with this Kohler unit. Sometimes lack of use 'dries' out parts and can cause a leak. Maybe just time to replace your faucet with the latest version.

You do not need to use the included deck plate. There is one included with the product but I don't use one. I like the clean simple install without it.. The entire faucet which sits on a 1/2 inch flared base rotates easily providing easy and wide access to all sink areas. The lever handle easily moves from hot to cold and offers varied levels of water flow depending on position.

Thank you for your inquiry. The faucet body that sits on top of the flared ring is the part of the faucet that rotates. If you only have a single faucet hole, you will not need to use the three-hole (escutcheon) plate.

I did not have a water pressure problem with my new Kohler faucet. Check your turn on valve on your water lines and see if they are completely open. My pressure was great from the first turn on the faucet. You might know that the government has set new requirements/limitations for water flow on faucets. Personally, I didn't notice any restriction with mine.

I am not familiar with a Kangan water filter. I have a separate water filter unit (different manufacturer) installed next to this faucet. I don't think you'd want to embellish this faucet with any 'attachment'. Use a separate water filter unit for a water filter. This product is too attractive as is.

Hi, my name is Jessica with Kohler Customer Service. Kohler faucets aren't intended to be used with water filled that attach onto the faucets. With that being said, I cannot guarantee that the Kangen water filler will be able to attach onto the Coralais K-15160-G faucet. I would try contacting Kangen to see if they can advise if they two are compatible to work together or not. I do apologize that I cannot provide more information for you. Thank you for your inquiry and for choosing the Bold Look of Kohler.

The body is metal. (Stated to be brass in specs.) The spray head is, I believe, plastic with a metallic finish. Believe the plastic sprayer is pretty much standard in all these type of products, although I did not shop for anything higher in price. Our old spray head was metal, but definitely not brass!
