On glacier bay model 8184, sku 233969 nickel finish, I need to replace the sprayer.

It is the part with the black switch on the side that unscrews from the neck. Mine is from 3 years ago, but it is still the same threading. Mine has gone bad and I don't want to buy a whole new faucet. Is that something you can order that I can pick up at your store if i pay first? It looks to be way too hard for me to find a site to order this part from.

I have one of these faucets and the black switch on the head of the faucet that pulls out broke...non fixable for me (a tiny piece of plastic broke inside the black switch) I just have the aerated water, I don't have the gentle spray mode. Also from the reviews i'm reading, there are no replacement parts.

Is it true that the water will go on if I just touch the faucet at any place, or do I have to be able to reach the lever? What determines the temperature of the water?

Apologies for any confusion. "New Touch" is the model name of this faucet, this is is not a hands free faucet. The temperature of the water is determined by the hot/cold sides of the handle.

It is NOT one of the faucets you can touch an it turn on/off.. You have to use the lever.. If you purchase this be careful, my water pressure is strong and a piece of plastic off the black switch broke...I only have one water setting instead of two.

On this particular model no. There is a black lever on the front of pull out hose you activate. This controls the centered jet and dispersed spray.

No...the ad is misleading. You have to touch the handle to turn it on and off and select the temp. It is not "touchless"!

Yes it is the nozzle pulls out of it's fixture and can flex all over your sink; then return to it's normal location. Also the entire fixture does swivel.

Question

Is there a fix for Glacier Bay Model #8181 - Pull down sprayer does not fully retract?

Asked by
Duck Walk
about New-Touch Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Brushed Nickel on
February 6, 2013
I just had a Glacier Bay Model #8181 kitchen faucet installed. The pull down sprayer does not fully retract. Part of the problem is that unlike other brands, there is no "lock" to hold the sprayer in place. The retracting weight just appears to be unable to fully retract. I've resorted to using velco strip to hold in place for the time being. Any thoughts on correcting?

I adjusted the weight on the hose a few times until I managed to get it to retract smoothly. I've enclosed 3 pictures for reference. I adjusted the weight 1ft 2in from the bottom of the the sink where the hose first passes through. After the adjustment It's been working well for over two months.

Put an extra weight on the hose just above the existing weight. If you don't have one, call 877-708-0007 and ask them to send you a free one.
