If the EasyGreen spreader setting is not listed on your bag you can use the following steps to determine your spreader setting.

1. Add 21 or 22 to the Scotts Rotary spreader setting that is listed on the label.
2. Use that number and to apply a test area to determine the best setting for your spreader.
3. Empty the number of pounds the manufacturer recommends for a 1000 sq. ft. into the spreader. With the Micrometer set at the above setting, spread the material over a 1000 sq. ft. area (50x20, 33x30, etc.) If you run out of material before you cover the test area, adjust the setting a notch lower; if you still have material in your hopper when you reach the end of the test area, adjust the setting a notch higher. This will give you the best setting for this particular product.
The process should be repeated each time that you apply a fertilizer to your lawn. Remember that an over-application of a fertilizer may cause damage to your lawn.

Turf Builder Weed and Feed needs to be applied to a wet lawn when rain is not expected for 24 hours. In general lawns require 1" of water a week, in the absence of rain, we suggested spacing these out at 1/2" of water every 3-4 days.) Deep and infrequent is the best way to water the lawn.

We recommend using Ortho Weed B Gon Max Plus Crabgrass Control to kill existing crabgass. Do not apply the product when temperatures are expected to be above 85 degrees. To help prevent crabgrass next year, we recommend using Turf Builder with Halts in the early spring. Turf Builder with Plus 2 will not prevent or control crabgrass.

Crab grass is an annual weed and is best handled early in the spring with a pre-emergent like Scotts HALTS. HALTS will place a barrier on the ground to keep the seed from sprouting. Keep in mind it will also impact newly planted grass seed from germinating as well. (Best time to seed grass is in the fall)

The short answer to your question : No it will not.

As winter approaches you would want to use Scotts Winterizer Plus 2. The fertilizer component of this product promotes plant growth and greenery to encourage top plant growth. Where the Winterizer component promotes root growth to thicken and strengthen grasses during the cooler weather (grass is a cool weather plant) .

As a side note, plain winterizer (not the Plus 2 version) can also be used as a substitute for starter fertilizer as they are both effectively the same in composition and properties.

This product does not control fungus and should not be applied with a hand held spreader. Check out Scotts Fungus Control for disease or fungus in the lawn. It also, should not be applied with a hand held spreader. The Fungus Control will control a specific list of fungus and disease so make sure your problem is listed before using.

This product will not address fungal issues and you would need a product for the specific fungal issue you are encountering. A handheld spreader could be used, but I would recomend it due to overlap and burning potentials.
