Hi, This is Kim with GE. I am happy to help you with your GE questions. There is not a freezer compartment. There is an Ice Tray Compartment. This compartment is designed for production of ice cubes and short-term storage (a few days at most) of some commercially frozen foods when in contact with the evaporator (cold surface in compartment.). It is not self defrosting. The dimensions are:

Overall Depth 21 in
Overall Height 32 3/4 in
Height to Top of Case (in.) 32-1/8
Overall Width 20 1/2 in
Back Air Clearances (in.) 2
Side Air Clearances (in.) 1/2
Top Air Clearances (in.) 2

Hi, I'm Brenda with GE. Thanks for your interest in this GE Compact Refrigerator.

It is not recommended that refrigerators be used in unheated locations, such as garages, porches, or unheated rooms during periods when the temperature is likely to fall below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

We do not recommend installing a refrigerator where the temperature will exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

There is a possibility that operating the refrigerator in extremely high temperatures could cause the oil to overheat and break down, thus damaging the compressor or sealed system. There is a possibility that some harm could come to the compressor or sealed system by operating the refrigerator at temperature extremes.

Below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, the oil could become thick and not circulate properly. Above 110 degrees Fahrenheit, the oil could overheat and break down.

Refrigeration systems rely on the boiling of freon under pressure and heat. If the outside temperature is not sufficient, the freon will not boil to a vapor and no cooling will take place. Low temperatures can also fool the thermostat into thinking proper temperatures have been reached. This is true of the new CFC-free refrigerants as well.

I hope this is helpful. Should you have further questions, please let us know.

Hi, This is Kim with GE. Thank you for your interest in our CleanSteel compact refrigerator. CleanSteel is a laminate vinyl with the look of stainless, but without the fingerprints. Magnets will stick to CleanSteel.
CleanSteel blends beautifully with other full stainless appliances in the kitchen setting.
To clean, wipe with a clean cloth lightly dampened with kitchen appliance wax or mild liquid dish detergent. Dry and polish with a clean, soft cloth.
CleanSteel is coated several times therefore; light scratches will not cause rusting. If other questions come up, please let us know. I appreciate your purchasing GE

Hello Stringer,

This is Sheree from GE and I will be glad to assist you with GE 4.3 cu. ft. Compact Refrigerator with CleanSteel Appearance, Model # GMR04HASCS.

GE has provided the 1.2 running amps for installation with its own individual electrical outlet (115 volt, 60 hertz, single phase AC) used in residential use. This is all we can provide since GE does not recommend the units be installed with DC power or converters. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry on the GE 4.3 cu. ft. Compact Refrigerator with CleanSteel Appearance
Model # GMR04HASCS. My name is Donna and I will be happy to help.

The following is in the installation instructions and applies only to the 2, 3 and 4 Cubic Foot Models:
* Do not install it in a recessed area.
* Do not build in the refrigerator.

Back Air Clearances: 2.0"
Side Air Clearances: 0.5"
Top Air Clearances: 2.0"
*1-1/4″ for hinge side clearance, hinged on right

If you can allow for the air clearances then it would be o.k. to do.

I would suggest model GMR06AAZ for undercounter installation. It requires 0" clerances around sides, top and back.

I hope this helps. Thank you for considering GE!

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry on the GE Spacemaker 4.3 cu. ft. Compact Refrigerator in CleanSteel Model # GMR04HASCS.

The Freezer compartment is for short-term storage of frozen food. The frozen food compartment of this refrigerator will make ice, and pre-frozen foods can be stored for about two weeks. It will not effectively freeze fresh foods or provide long-term storage for meats, poultry, or fish.

I hope this helps.
