This is Sheree from GE and I will be glad to assist you with your refrigerator question. The model PTS18SHSSS as well as all GE refrigerators are tested for their noise quality but not rated either in sones or decibels.

My GE refrigerator is very quiet in my kitchen.

This is Donna with GE and I will be happy to help you with your question on the GE Profile 17.9 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator model # PTS18SHSSS.

The 18 cubic foot Profile Top Mount refrigerator is only available in stainless steel. If you are needing white and have the space, you may want to consider model PTS22LHSWW. There is also model GTH18KBXWW.

GE will no longer be manufacturing the 18 cubic foot Profile Stainless Steel refrigerator. You may want to consider model PTS22SHSSS.
