The replacement plate for this kit is approx. 7.875" x 7". If you have the clearance you may be able to retrofit it. Without seeing your setup, I would suggest taking a photo & measurements to your local Home Depot for advice.

It replaced my Broan fan.

this system comes with 2 different size plates that the actual fan motor would be fastened to. one is a square shape, and the other is a rectangular shape. Unless you're replacing the plate/motor on one of the nutone models named on the box, you'll have to measure you existing fan housing (preferably removing it in advance). Mine measured approximately 8"x8". In the end, after some adjusting and manual labor, I ended up using the rectangular plate and it fit right into the previous housing. with enough clearance for the fan to operate without impediment. You must also consider that if your existing fan has a power plug (like mine), the holes in the plate(s) for the electrical outlet and screws (to hold the plate in place in the housing) most likely will not align properly. you'll have to do some simple wiring and figure out a way to secure the plate in the housing. I punched a new hole in the housing and screwed the plate securely in place. A pro probably would have the proper tools, but i got it done basically with a screwdriver, a hammer, steel drill bit (to punch the hole) and electrical tape.

This is an upgrade kit to fit inside a list of certain Nutone/Broan/Nautilus exhaust fans - NOT a free-standing unit to be installed in the ceiling as it appears you are doing.

This is designed to replace :the guts" of certain models. The contents are two mounting plates (for two different series of fans, the motor with fan / squirrel cage installed, and a new grill. Read the description for models for which this replacement/upgrade will work. Note... Home Depot does have the exact replacement for the builders grade unit 696; perhaps others as well.

Doubtful, the 8863rp has a housing of 9in by 9in and this kit is designed to upgrade fans with housings around 7 in by 7 in. Even if you could fit the motor in place somehow, this motor moves 60 cubic feet of air per minute and the 8863rp's motor moves 100 cubic feet per minute. The part you need is S97017705 from Broan-NuTone.

If you mean the model number of your existing fan, if it is a Broan or NuTone, remove the cover and it will be written (etched) on the metal plate that the motor is attached to. You will be able to see it from underneath without removing anything else.

In my installation the noise level was decreased noticeably, but it's certainly not silent. You'll have to spend the big bucks for a top-of-the-line Nutone, Broan, Panasonic, etc. for that.

There are two differnt housing plates in the box to choose from. One plate is 8" x 7.25" and has the plug opening on the side. This one fits perfectly for the 696N fans. The other plate in the box is 7.5" x 7.25" and has the plug opening in the corner. If your current plates are one of these sizes, it should work.

The Upgrade kit is not for the model 8664RP. In this case it would a down-grade as it is only 60 cfm's. But it will not work in your housing. The assembly is available (S97017706) and you can order at the Special Order Desk at the Home Depot Store.

Yes, it's applicable to the 696N. It replaces the motor, the fan and the metal plate on which the fan and motor are mounted, plus an upgraded vent cover.

I don't know if your fan is a Broan, Nutone or Nautilus model, but that number is not listed as compatible for any of those brands.
