It's on the bottom left side of the unit. The instructions said to put it at 4 initially. I haven't changed it since because the food freezes quickly and I don't get hardly any ice build-up. But then again I've only had it for a month so far.

This is Alison from GE. I am happy to assist you. Yes, model FCM9DTWH has an adjustable temperature control. The electromechanical temperature control is preset to give satisfactory food storage temperatures. It is adjustable to provide a range of temperatures.

Height: 28-4/5"
Width: 36"
Depth:16-1/2"

These dimensions are the maximum and do not include parts and molding that protrude inside the unit.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry on the GE 8.8 cu. ft. Chest Freezer model # FCM9DTWH.

The correct operating temperature of chest and upright freezers, including smaller, compact models is -5 to +5 degrees Fahrenheit. In order to take the temperature of solid food, place a thermometer between frozen packages or in some ice cream.

It is not decide to go lower than -5 degrees.
