We are happy to help. The Red does not contain sensors that would need to be replaced to control these functions. The trouble with your ignition may be resolved by changing the battery. You can access the battery cap on the left side panel of the grill cart. The cap will unscrew and you will be able to replace the old battery with a new AA battery. The negative end of the battery will be inserted first. The inability to control the temperature of your grill may be caused by several factors such as the condition of your burners, control knobs, or hose, valve, regulator assembly.
