Why do more than half of the reviews say this dishwasher does not clean the dishes?

What is the truth about this dishwasher? Does it work or not? Why are there so many bad reviews? I want one that matches my refrigerator, but am afraid to buy this one!

the main reason any dishwasher doesnt seem to be working is that the manufacturers of detergents had to remove the phosphates from the soaps. If you add about a half cup of plain white vinegar to each wash you will see a huge difference in the cleaning ability of your dishwasher. Also the LG dries by a system called the hybrid drying system. Read the owners manual. These are good machines, I love mine.

No, it does not clean. Please save yourself the money and do not buy this. Most of the positive reviews are from LG and not from Home Depot customers. It shows on the lower right corner of each review.

My LG Dishwasher came with a already connected, long drain hose and clear instructions on how to connect and route the hose properly to prevent smell and backwash.

It was very quiet when we got it, but pretty loud after 1 year and 3 weeks. Dont buy it. Ours is leaking water all over the floor, apparently a common problem.

LG says there is nothing to rust in their dishwasher, and, from what I can see, water only contacts either SS or plastic and as you know, water does little or no damage to either.

Between the hot water in, effective cleaning of your dishes, the rinse aid and LGs version of a dry cycle (some sort of air movement going on), my dishes are clean, dry and sparkling at the end of the rinse cycle. All without using a lot of electricity with a dryer element.
