Purchase price includes shelving unit only, however there are very nice high quality wheels that may be purchased separately. I found them near the shelving unit in store. I have 4 sets of these wheels. Two in each pack of four are lockable. Be careful of overall height after adding wheels, may hit ceiling lights.

No, but I don't think you would want them for this unit. It is large. If it was to be full of heavy items it would be awkward to move. Leaving it stationary makes it safe from falling objects and moving children. I love mine right were it is!

There are locking wheels available for separate purchase but none that are includes in the shelving kit itself. I believe I paid about $16 for my set of 4 wheels
. They add about 8 to 9 inches in height to the unit and are very sturdy and easy to attach. The lock mechanism holds well and makes the shelves feel very secure. Hope you like it as much as I do mine!

No the unit doesn't come with wheels.
However HD sells a 4" diameter 4 wheel package for approximately $20.00 which is a very good size for this large shelving unit. The wheels are 2 with/2 without brakes. Tho you can order smaller wheels, I'd recommend this larger diameter wheel to facilitate stocked unit movement.

I had this same problem until I purchased a second unit and was able to use my leftover shelf. If you still have the box or can find who actually manufacturers these units, try to contact them. Usually a google search or even HD might have contact information. Most vendors are accommodating when it comes to part requests.

I few years ago I was in a Home Depot store in Illinois and saw that they carried the component parts. I have since moved to Wisconsin and the Home Depot store nearest me only stocks the boxed units. So you might try asking someone in the store if they can get the components. Buying the parts separately will probably be pricey, but it's a shame that those extra shelves aren't getting used. Good luck.

Yes, you can. If you are looking for replacement or additional posts or shelves, you will need to know the needed pole(s) finish, diameter and length and for shelves, you will need to know the finish, width and length to ensure that the correct components are available. This type of product is quite similar across the different brands. Many of the products are NSF certified (National Sanitation Foundation - think food processing facilities) and many of the components are interchangeable between brands. If you need components for these units, research the Seville Classics and Honey-Can-Do websites. Many of the components are also offered on the A--Z-N website.

NOTE to HD: You really need to consider carrying these requested components. It is called 'customer satisfaction'. On the plus side, many of your products compete favorably on pricing with other websites, so why force your customers to leave your site.

Depends on how strong you are and long your arms are. It wouldn't be hard to hurt yourself. The box is really long and awkward to lift, plus the whole package weighs 65 pounds (if I remember correctly). I'd get a buddy to help (which isn't a problem at the store; then you could just break it down into pieces once you're home, if need be).

No it is meant to stand, not roll. If you think you'd need to move it you might consider buying a set of magic movers - those flat discs that you could put under the feet to allow you to move the unit. But I wouldn't recomend moving it very often or far as the unit doesn't appear to be strong enough to flex it very far.

The customer sets the spacing on the shelves to suit oneself while in the process of assembly. Simple matter of counting the grooves on the uprights to get them level. Overall assembly is simple and easily accomplished by one adult. I have three sets in a garden/growing shed, and they have proved to be a good investment. Optional wheel sets were a big plus for my use.

This comes with 6 shelves standard. You do not have to install every shelf although the unit is more stable with all 6 installed. Additionally, if you have extra shelves the same dimension you could add them. The shelf supports would allow he shelves to be placed as close together as 4 inches. If you really only want three shelves but want to store the extras so you don't lose the parts you could place two right on top of each other for extra stability

You know I was in a Home Depot store a few years ago and they carried the individual shelving components (poles, shelves and plastic clips), so a fella or gal could purchase the components separately and build whatever is needed. I moved to a different location a couple years ago and the store nearest me doesn't seem to carry the individual parts. It might be best to just ask someone at your local store to see if they can special order something for you. I imagine buying the individual parts will be more expensive than buying the boxed unit. May be you could buy the complete unit and sell the shelves you don't want to someone looking for a couple of extra shelves. (Just a thought.)

Not through Home Depot unless they will special order from their supplier. You might try LKGoodwin on-line. Complete line of separately ordered components to custom make whatever you want. Ex: 24" x 48" shelf is approx $57. I can recommend the wheel sets available through Home Depot; a good quality set for the money, if they are using the same supplier.

Aldi's had them on sale for 39.99 last week the size was 36"wide by 14" deep bt 54" high..if your local store sold out call their 800# ask them to locate a store that still has some...I did and though I had to drive 1/2 hr to another city they had plenty in that store. also I found different sizes at Lowes. But if you want an answer from HD re other sizes and you can't find what you're looking for online at their website you'll need to call the 800# for HD customer assistance. I'm not sure they ever answer these e-mails.

Width and depth of box wouldn't be a problem...length would be the question I suspect...the length of the box is maybe 1" longer (maybe 2") longer than the width of the shelves.
In this case the length of the box would be 49 to 50" long...little more than 4'. Take a Bungee cord and a red rag along if that's too long for your Camry.

Probably in China. But seriously, I recall seeing the parts available in one large Home Depot store in Illinois, however the store near me doesn't seem to carry the individual components (shelves, poles and plastic shelf clips). You might want to ask some one in the store if they can order separate parts for you.

From what I have read from other reviews, it is virtually impossible to find replacement parts for this item. Perhaps Home Depot can be persuaded to contact the manufacturer to see if they would be willing to package and sell replacement parts for those who might require them. I don't think anyone would be willing to buy a whole unit for replacement parts, especially if all you need are the little black shims that hold up the shelves.

Yes you can create 2 sets of shelves but not 3 sets. There are only 8 upright poles ergo you can get the 2 sets of shelves by not screwing the poles together then just fit the shelves as spacing allows on the poles.
Be mindful however that you will require 2 sets of 4 casters to facilitate movement of the units and you will have dust caps for only one of the two sets...saran wrap or aluminum foil work nicely for the other set of shelves.

I put 2 sets of these shelves in my kitchen so that I could start some seeds growing (it was by a sunny window); I have that kind of flooring that looks like wood, but isn't, I forget the kind/name of it. I also put a large tablecloth under the shelves to 'catch' anything that might fall though.

The plants started growing so much I couldn't keep up with hand watering, so I drug the hose inside with a long control type handle. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't help but get water all over the floor under it. So it sat in puddles underneath both of them (price to pay for starting plants inside).

It never bothered the shelves. They are sturdy, heavy and didn't budge. Not even a shimmer. I've taken one unit out. That are not so heavy that they made an indentation in the flooring either. They weathered the 'storm' just fine for me.

Hope that helps.

While I have never had water on the floor with these shelves, they do have rubber feet. The feet should prevent them from sliding, especially if they are weighed down by the content of the shelves. As for the chrome plating, unless the water is corrosive, they should fare well.
