You can remove the lid by removing 2 clips in the back ( very easy ). Then remove the grates and the bars and place the grill horizontally after lowering your back seats. Worked for me for spirit e 310 on my CRV. Home depot guy helped me with the loading.

Funny, I didn't, just burned away for 5 minutes on high-but I think it could have been a good idea to do it, you might get less sticking.

Gas Grill uses propane, it has a 5 Gallon external tank that you refill. The 5 Gallons last a long time, I BBQ alot and go through 2 1/2 a summer.
Natural Gas you need a special connection outside your house to connect into. Very convenient. My Dad has this and loves never getting a refill.
