Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. We do not have a direct replacement for this built-in microwave; however, you could go with our microwave convection Model PEB9159SF which requires a slightly higher cabinet cutout. You may also want to look at our new built-in Advantium, Model #PSB9120SF, which is slightly wider than what you currently have. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. Yes, our new 27" microwave/oven combination unit would fit nicely into your current cabinet cutout with very minor adjustment. Model #JK3800SHSS is the stainless steel model. If you go with a 27" double wall oven, the height will exceed your cutout and your cabinet would have to be adjusted. I hope this helps! We appreciate your loyalty to GE!

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to your microwave oven light.

We apologize; however, a microwave light is not consumer replaceable. While we offer many basic problem-solving tips on our appliances, a microwave oven requires an authorized service technician for repairs, due to many components that require certain equipment and safety measures for diagnosis and repair.

For safety reasons, GE offers no do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens due to:
*Safety requirements due to high voltage (capacitor holds a high voltage charge even after it has been unplugged)
*Complexity of electronic circuitry.
*Special equipment needed to make diagnosis.

We recommend contacting the GE Consumer Service to schedule an appointment. They can be reached at 1.800.432.2737, Mon. - Fri., 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Sat. - Sun., 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, EST.

Hello Oakhill - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to a model to replace your current double wall oven.

The cabinet cutout dimensions of your current double oven should be: 49-1/2" H min. x 25" W min. x 23-1/2" D min.

The good news is that our current 27" double wall ovens have a similar cutout dimension. For instance, Model PK7500SFSS, which is a 27" built-in double convection wall oven, requires the following cutout dimensions: 49-11/16" H x 25" W x 23-1/2" D. It should not be too difficult to replace your old unit with a new unit. Please see your sales representative for information on how to order same.

I hope this information is helpful! Thanks for checking with us!

Hello,

This is Michelle with GE. I am sorry to hear that the microwave part of this unit has gone out.

Built-in double microwave/wall ovens, including your model JKP86W0F3WW as well as the current JKP90DPWW, are not designed for microwave replacements. The microwave is an integral part of the double wall unit and is set up for repair only. The microwave section of these units is made up of many individual parts and is not available as an assembled part.

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you.

When the oven is in bake, broil or self-clean, the vapor/moisture formed goes through the door slots and between the window panes. The vapor carries with it grease from the foods and/or oven. When the vapor cools, the grease dries onto the glass and streaks appear. To prevent streaks from occurring, we normally recommend to wipe out the excess grease from the oven before any type of long baking/roasting period or putting the range through a self-clean cycle. If you have soapy water between the glass, we would not recommend running the oven through a self-clean cycle.

The only way to remove the streaks is by cleaning between the two pieces of glass, which requires service. We recommend contacting GE Factory Service at 1-800-432-2737 to schedule a service appointment.

I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you.

If your countertop microwave is built-in, then it required the trim kit #JX1527MBW or JX1530MBW. These trim kits required the following cabinet cutout dimensions: Width 24-1/8" (+/- 1/8"); Height 17-9/16" (+/- 1/16"); Depth 21" minimum with non-recessed plug, 19" minimum with recessed plug.

If you are replacing the microwave, the best option would be the PEB7226SFSS. The required trim kit is either JX7227 or JX7230 and requires the following cabinet cutout dimensions: 16-3/4" +/- 1/8" High, 25-1/2" +/- 1/8" Wide, x 19-1/2" - 22" minimum Deep, so some adjustments to your cabinet opening will be needed.

I hope this helps! Thank you for contacting GE!

Hello Astrosmurfboy - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to a replacement model for your 27" double-wall oven microwave combination unit.

The JKP78G0K required cabinet cutout dimensions of: 41-1/4"H x 24-3/4"W x 24"D. The cutout dimensions for the JKP90DPBB are very similar. So the JKP90DPBB would be an excellent choice for a replacement model.
