Hi Jann, I’m Blake from Home Depot’s online community. I contacted the manufacturer to see if a replacement panel was available. Unfortunately the light cover is not sold separately.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

There is a 3 term inline socket on the switch end.
There is 1 cord with a plug that mates to it for line input.
Don't know why you couldn't direct wire it unless some code would prevent it.

Question

HELP! Is This Enough Light For Plants To Grow?

Asked by
Jerry
OK
about 23 in. Fluorescent Super Slim Linkable White Undercabinet Light on
September 20, 2013
I plan on getting a head start for gardening in 2014 by raising plants from seed. But Is there enough output from this fixture to help with plant growth after germination? I've seen similar lights that advertise 17 watts with an output equivalent of 75 watts for plants. Those cost more, but I'm willing to spend more if this fixture won't give me good results.

Hello Katie and thank you for your question.

First, turn the fixture off and allow bulb to cool before handling. Remove the lens/diffuser by lightly pulling the front edge while pulling downwards; it should pop out easily. Remove the bulb by grasping the ends of the bulb and rotating until the bulb becomes loose. Pull it straight out from the lamp holder while being careful not to drop the bulb. Grasp the replacement bulb in the same manner and reinsert into the lamp socket. Turn tube until it is securely held in place. Do not use excessive force when installing the new bulb. Finally reinsert the lens/diffuser.

Refer to the diagram shown in the “ Bulb Replacement Instructions” section of the Instructions located here: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pd....

Best wishes on your project.
