I ordered mine online, however the sample in the store is what you want to go by, it is very pretty down, and the online image is not a true representation of the product, I would say it is a little darker and has the nice red undertones to it (What I was looking for). Advice make sure you measure before cutting these because it can create a lot of waste, I wanted to have the "grout" lines not match up (teetering them), but that would have required a LOT of cutting because of how they are designed, but I do really like how it looks with the squares all lined up. I am 26 female and did it all on my own, so it is easy!

From my perspective, it went down lighter than the sample. It is not a light color, but it certainly does not darken the area where we made the installation. It is easily cleaned and does not show surface dirt. We installed it in a laundry room and the washer and dryer don't bother it.

I did a kitchen and bathroom in it a few weeks ago and have had no problems with it staying down (despite a 2 & 4 y/o's best efforts). I would think gluing it down could actually cause the seams to pull apart over time as your house "breathes" with the heating and cooling of the seasons (the materials in your house actually expand and contract when heated and cooled). It's designed to be a floating floor, so let it do it's thing! Hope this helps!

Hello and thank you for your question.

I would suggest using a fluted carpet trim.Allure transition pieces are available thru a special order program but considering the location of the transition and height i think your best option would be a fluted carpet trim.See related products for the image and link to the product.

Hope this helps and if you have any additional questions visit us on community.homedepot.com

I would put a flat room divider on top of it. All of my floors are even level, so I have to make sure that it is a flat threshold piece. If you want a seamless look however you will need to glue it down, but it would have to be a really even cut to look good, and make sure that both the hardwood and traffic master flooring are level with each other. Other wise it could kick up from dirt build up over the years. I personally like the flat moldings, you can paint some too, (take it outside and use some spray paint to get your color choice)

Let me say that I'm a fan of this product. I've installed sheet flooring, carpet and ceramic floor tile. Nothing installs this easy. Its 2x thicker than normal peel and stick tile. But like any vinyl product, it will "dent" if you apply enough pressure. My son's finance' walked on it in heels 24 hrs after install and it did not dent. I've heard some users say larger dogs with sharp claws can scratch it. But I dropped a 10 # stock pot on it the other day ..no dents!

We installed this flooring in a laundry room. I removed the base boards and put the flooring in wall to wall. After the flooring installation was completed, I replaced the base boards and then moved a washer and dryer back into place. The flooring is pretty tough - not only do the washer and dryer not mar it, but we have two big dogs and they travel across the flooring several times daily and their claws don't mar it. I don't think heels would damage it and I know appliances will not scratch it.

Any floor can get marked in moving furniture or appliances so I use felt moving pads to move furniture on all floors and it helps furniture slide better. On rugs, I use the plastic disks.

Spike heels can damage floors but I have not tried them on this floor. This floor does seem to bounce back if chair legs are weighted down on the floor. Regular heels would be fine.

All the on line information about this product says it can be put over existing flooring. We choose to have it installed professionally and they didn't want to lay it over our one layer of sheet vinyl that was well secured still. When I discussed this with the installers they said it could void the warranty and might have some pattern show through over time. So we pulled up the old floor ourselves. They added transition pieces that look very nice.

The quality of the material appears to be an enduring product. We've had kitchen and bathroom flooring that are a couple years old and are doing well so we anticipate this patio floor to last also.

A very thin antimicrobial barrier could be used. The guide should be the thinest practical barrier. A thicker barrier could result in the movement of the tiles thus breaking the adhesion between the tiles. I believe the floor department employees could recommend the proper barrier material and thickness.
