I figured the dye would be to thin to allow the additive to adhere so my thought was to add the additive to the High gloss finish process to seal it in on top of the Dye.

Hello and thank you for your question. We do not suggest that you use BEHR PREMIUM® Non-Skid Floor Finish Additive with BEHR PREMIUM® Decorative Concrete Dye or BEHR PREMIUM® Wet-Look Sealer, as it will create a cloudy look and it will alter the color in opaque dyes.

Thank you for your interest in our Behr Premium Non-Skid Floor Finish Additive. This product can be used with Behr Premium Solid Color Concrete Stain to provide a slip resistant coating. It is very easy for you to mix one bag per gallon of coating. To remove an existing coating we would recommend a product such as Behr No 992 Paint Stripper. Please follow all back label instructions to ensure proper surface preparation and application.

Hi.
I have an old metal staircase leading to my storefront and it can get pretty slippery especially when wet.

As you can see it's quite old and we will need to clean it then paint it. In the process we will want to add BEHR Non-Skid Floor Finish.

What kind of paint do you recommend for this job?

Also, any tips on prepping the stairs for paint would be helpful! Thanks!

I had my pool deck replaced last year with stamped concrete. We had one coat of a stain put on for the summer. I now need to put a new coat on due to some fading and want to make it less slippery than it was last year. Can the Behr non-skid be used and, if so, what would the recommended Behr stain be for my situation?

Thanks,

Dear Sal,

The Non-Skid Floor Finish Additive will work in most floor coatings. However, we would not recommend using this additive with Transparent or Semi-Transparent Stains as it will likely make the coating more opaque and will add texture possibly affecting the final look. For wood surfaces, this Non-Skid Floor Finish Additive is usually added to our Porch & Patio Floor Paint. This additive will also work with a Solid Color Wood Stain as another option.

Thank you for the inquiry!
