Let it get hot and just put some oil on the grate.... which you should do before you cook every time(after you clean the grate); it will keep meat from sticking.

Yes. Seasoning the grates with canola oil will help to keep food from sticking and prevent rust. To season the grates, apply canola oil to the grates and then turn the grill to the highest setting for about 15 to 20 minutes.

This 4-Burner Grill can only be used with a standard 20 lb propane tank. The main burners use a total of 48,000 BTUs and the side burner uses 12,000 BTUs. A standard propane tank should last for a long time with this grill.

Heather,

There is a AA battery in the ignitor button that helps create a spark at the beginning of the burners where the gas first enters. Hope that helps answer your question.

Kyle,

I don't believe it is a duel-fuel grill. The fuel connection looks to be a standard Propane cylinder type connection and I'm sure the gas orifice is a standard propane type as well. To be sure you may need to check w/ the manufacturer's website or manual. Hope that helped somewhat? Good luck.

I did not season mine. I just started cooking. After I cook, and while the grill is still warm, I use a brush to go over the grates. When I am ready to grill the next time I just let the grill preheat, do another brush over the grate and start cooking.

Seasoning the cooking grates in this Char-Broil 4-Burner Gas Grill with a high heat oil, such as canola oil, is not a must. However, doing this will add a protective barrier to the cooking grates and help to keep food from sticking to them. Hi ZSeek,

This grill is set up for propane gas.

Your household gas supply is natural gas.

You can not hook up a propane gas grill to a natural gas source without converting the grill to natural gas operation.

I live on a rural dairy farm & it gets quite windy here due to the lack of trees & such to break the wind. I'm looking for a grill that won't constantly go out or lose a lot of heat right away... Not looking for a miracle, I know it's difficult to grill in these conditions. Just looking for some suggestions or recommendations.
