Hi ZSeek,

This grill is set up for propane gas.

Your household gas supply is natural gas.

You can not hook up a propane gas grill to a natural gas source without converting the grill to natural gas operation.

Seasoning the cooking grates in this Char-Broil 4-Burner Gas Grill with a high heat oil, such as canola oil, is not a must. However, doing this will add a protective barrier to the cooking grates and help to keep food from sticking to them. I live on a rural dairy farm & it gets quite windy here due to the lack of trees & such to break the wind. I'm looking for a grill that won't constantly go out or lose a lot of heat right away... Not looking for a miracle, I know it's difficult to grill in these conditions. Just looking for some suggestions or recommendations.
