If your deck will be in direct sunlight most of the day, begin the process early, say 8 am or earlier. The deck should not be very hot, around 60 degrees. Adhesion problems could arise if the deck gets too hot. Try to finish the job before the heat of the day. It's a great product, but it can chip off, especially at the edge of step boards. Some reports of chipping has happened on the deck itself. Prep is all important. Tape all walls, doors, etc- any vertical surfaces. The product flies everywhere! Don't wear any clothing or shoes that you won't mind ruining. Depending on your choice of color, it will show dirt.
If you take proper precautions, your deck will look terrific and be a nice abrasive surface during the winter to prevent slips. Well worth the money.
