Hello Margaret,

Thank you for your inquiry on the GE range.

Some local electrical codes require a direct electrical connection (no power cord), especially in the case of a built-in oven. Other local codes may permit the use of power cords. I would suggest to
consult your local electrical code to be sure.

Question

I have trouble with convection baking feature

Asked by

I just purchased this oven. I owned a convection oven about 17 years ago and didn't have this problem. With baking for Christmas I had a number of disappointments. My pumpkin pies took 1.5 hours to bake and turned out with a gummy bottom crust. Other egg-based casseroles did not firm up well and my cake did not rise. What am I doing wrong?

Question

How do you clean the inside of the glass if something spills over and drips in between the two glass panels of the oven window ?

Asked by

I would love to purchase this oven, but my only concern is the oven window getting dirty between the two panels. I have that problem now ,where something has spilled down the front, and went through the vents, and ended up between the two panels of glass. It looks awful! My daughter recently broke my glass cooktop, and I am in desperate need of a new range, & I really want this one, but not if I will have the same problem with the oven window.

Hello - This is Lisa from GE. I will be happy to assist you. The oven window does have vents at the top, which allows for the possibility of something spilling. Normally, if the door is opened all the way when taking food out there should not be an issue. I hope this helps. We appreciate you checking!
