Using foam is a messy process and once dried is a mess in itself. How do you keep the gun from getting plugged up and if it does do you have to throw it away?
Thanks

GREAT STUFF PRO™ Gun Cleaner helps keep PRO Series foam dispensing guns (PRO 13, PRO 14 and PRO 15) at their best. Uniquely formulated to dissolve and remove uncured polyurethane foam, GREAT STUFF PRO™ Gun Cleaner makes application and cleanup simple.

If the product has had time to cure, the only way to remove it is mechanically. (via scraping or sanding) Generally if GREAT STUFF PRO™ has had time to cure within a gun, it will need to be disposed of and a new one purchased.

No matter how easy a job may seem or how much you prepare, a little mess is never out of the question. New GREAT STUFF™ Work Wipes provides easy clean-up for tough messes. They are designed to remove excess uncured GREAT STUFF™ foam as well as almost any paint, caulk, adhesive, grease, grime, oil, tar and even permanent marker. The wipes are oversized, resist tearing, and have a scrubbing surface on one side for messes that need a little muscle. And Work Wipes are formulated to be safe for cleaning hands, tools and most hard surfaces. Simply put, GREAT STUFF™ Work Wipes, well, work great.

You screw a can of cleaner on the gun and spray it through until it runs clean. There are more detailed instructions included with the gun. I have owned one of these for a number of years now.

have a can of paint thinner ready ....once finished place the tip in the thinner and let it soak for a few minutes. Take the gun and place the cleaner can on to it and spray to clear the muzzle. Wait a few munutes and repeat the process ... then place the tip back on (after soaking for 5 min) and spray the cleaner through it. This process seems to work for me. Good luck.

There is a needle valve in the tip, that keeps the foam from drying in the gun for up to 30 days ( leave the can on the gun) , if you are going to not use the gun for longer thatn that run the gun cleaner through it, I use mine every day, so picked up a can of acetone to clean off the uncured foam fromthe outside of the tip, I have had guys borrow my gun and return it caked in dried foam, and had to scrape off the foam only took about 5 min to get it back to working condition.

FYI even after the can is removed there is still some pressure in the gun, dont pull the trigger anywhere you dont want a mess.

Per instructions, you are able to leave the can screwed on the gun for up to 30 days. There will of course be foam in the gun. If it were to dry inside the gun, I would take the gun apart and clean it. After all, the gun was assembled and should be able to be disassembled. Unless you don't mind buying a new one, it's not a great dent in the pocketbook..

I spray the tip and nozzzle with the gun cleaner and wipe off with a rag. If the foam dries on the end I used a utility knife to scrape off.

Not sure what tips you're looking for as it's pretty self explanatory. Unfortunately, currently there isn't much out there as far as techniques for use. As far as laying a nice bead of foam, keep nozzle at an angle if possible and draw the gun with consistent speed to match the amount your dispensing.

All PRO Series foam dispensing guns are designed to create an air- and moisture-tight seal between the gun and the can. Each PRO gun features a flow control mechanism that permits dispensing beads from 1/8" to 3" (0.3 cm to 8 cm) precisely where needed. The ability to restart combined with pinpoint control allows maximum foam yield and minimal waste.

New tips are available for purchase where you purchased the gun. Although parts may need to be special ordered. Check at your favorite Pro Desk.
