Hello Jerry and thank you for your interest in Moen products. Both the Moentrol and Posi-Temp shower valves are pressure balanced cycling valves that eliminate "shower shock" caused by pressure fluctuations in your home. They both maintain a consistent water temperature +/- 3 degrees and both offer you an adjustable temperature limit stop to control the full hot water setting. The primary difference between these two valves is that the Moentrol shower valve offers the user volume control; the Posi-Temp shower valve does not give the user volume control. Please feel free to contact us prior to purchase for recommendations best suited for your project. Don't hesitate to call us at 1-800-289-6636 or visit the "Contact Us" tab on www.moen.com to send us an email. We are here to provide support and ensure you will be satisfied with your Moen product.

Hello. My name is Carol Ann and I work for Moen. Thank you very much for your interest in Moen products. The shower trim models that start with the letter "T" only includes the trim and do not include the valves. Therefore, to complete the installation of a Moen TS315 shower, a Moentrol valve (3510, 3520, 3570) would need to be purchased. Moentrol® pressure–balancing valves deliver perfect water coverage, force and flow and have temperature memory to prevent hot and cold surges. In the future you may find it helpful to contact us for product/parts information prior to purchase. We would be able to verify kits needed for your project and make product recommendations best suited for your situation. If you have additional questions, please submit the Contact Us form at Moen's website or call us at 800-BUY-MOEN.
