The Sigman Brown Silver Heavy Duty Tarps, White Heavy Duty Tarps and Brown Silver Heavy Duty Tarps are all 10 MIL thickness, which is the same as the Brown Silver Heavy Duty Tarp in Home Depot stores. The Sigman Silver Black Heavy Duty Tarp is 11 MIL thickness.

When selecting a tarp for a 10 ft. x 20 ft canopy or carport, make sure read your canopy or carport's manual. Most of the times, a 10 ft x 20 ft. canopy or carport will require a tarp size larger than 10 ft. x 20 ft. because of canopy's gable roof's pitch. Make sure you read the canopy manual or measure the size of tarp you need for your canopy or carport so that the tarp you order will fit.

Yes people have used Sigman White Heavy Duty Tarps for outdoor movie screens. However, just remember it is only a tarp, not a professional grade seamless movie screen. This tarp has seams and the seams are heat sealed and flat.

Hello Jblack,

Thank you for your question.

Yes the tarp that you mentioned will work fine.

The only down fall is that the fold lines will be visible.

If you hang it up a few hours before movie time some of the fold lines may slightly straighten out.

You can also use an inflatable movie screen. They are portable and work extremely well.

Sigman 10 ft. x 20 ft. White Heavy Duty Tarp's finished size is 10 ft. x 20 ft. Due to tarp's large size, the finished size may have a slight variance of 1 - 3 inches, which is normal.

Sigman 10 ft. x 20 ft. White Heavy Duty Tarp's product life depends on the exact application, weather conditions, including UV, wind and storm conditions. In general, a heavy duty poly tarp has an expected life of 1 to 2 years in northern California, provided there are no significant winds or storms. If you want longer tarp life, please consider Sigman vinyl coasted polyester tarps, which are widely used in commercial heavy duty tarp applications. Sigman vinyl coated polyester tarps are a lot stronger and more UV and tear resistant.
