Question

Why does the dryer not seem to get hot?

We had the gas dryer installed 2 days ago. We have run towels in there, but it seems to take forever to get them dry. It is set on Towels and High heat and it takes almost 1.5 hours to get them dry. The gas is turned on. Is there something else the the installer needed to do to get the heat to come on?

It should not take that long. If the gas is on and your geeting heat thats working. You might check vent to make sure it is vented correctly. Also make sure screen is cleaned after each load. If that does not work call maytag,

I have included the troubleshooting portion of the use and care guide for you to view below. This information is located on the product page by clicking on the More Info tab. Hi Matthew, I'm Blake from Home Depot's online Community. From the factory the hinges are on the right side of the door if you are facing the unit. If you would like the door reversed select "M902-DOOR SWING CHANGE-NOT FRENCH DR" when selecting parts and services for your order. There is no cost for Home Depot to reverse this door opening.

I hope this helps Matthew!
