An effective flush requires that the the tank be full when the flush lever is operated. Is the flapper valve closing completely after the first flush? If not, is there an obstruction preventing it from closing? Do you have good water flow through the fill valve, once the tank level falls? If your flow is slow, it may take maybe minute to refill the tank. Make sure your water supply shutoff valve is completely open.

Unless you have a confined area around toilet, the only measurement you need to check is the rough in size. To do this, measure from the toilet mounting bolts on the floor to the wall behind the toilet. In modern houses it will probably be 12 inches. This toilet is a 12 inch rough in size but will be an inch or so from the back wall when installed. I believe there is a 14 inch rough in size available too.

Suggest you download the spec sheet for this unit from the link on the Home Depot Quick View page for all the the dimensions. That sheet shows the rear edge of the base as 8-3/8" behind the center of bolt holes. And the max width of the oval base is 9-3/8". So I'd SWAG a qualified No.

No. The 1.28 GPS flush is achieved with a full tank. But I have never needed more than just a quick jab at the flush lever to clear even the heaviest soil loads. I attribute this to the generous 2-1/8" trapway and the large radius turns, as well as the FloWise flush system.

Returned tank for exhcange. Local Home Depot only had the Standard bowl version and gave me the tank from that one. It doesn't leak, but the lid I have seems to have a little more play than it did on the leaking tank. Do they use different sized tanks? Thanks
