Can water droplets dripping from the Moen Haysfield (model # 87877SRS) faucet handle assembly after using faucet be fixed? (Purchased 9/12/12)

Purchased the Moen Haysfield (model #87877SRS) from the Home Depot store in Natick, MA on 9/12/12 for $228. I installed it myself (rather simple following instructions) and there is water dripping from underneath the handle area. This is the only problem I have noticed. I really like this Moen faucet. The water continues to drip from the handle assembly...a few drops after using the faucet. We just purchased another brand tonight (10/25/12) to replace it. (Delta Ashton model #19922-SSSD-DST for $228) If this Delta works well, the plan is to return the Moen Haysfield faucet. I really do not want to because I like the Moen Hayfield appearance (spot resistant surface), performance (strong water stream), operation (smooth handle working), and only dislike seeing water drip from the handle assembly. Any suggestions to fix this issue or confirmation of known manufacturing defect sincerely appreciated!
Here are two Home Depot website consumer reviews (from 2012) that describe what I am experiencing:

Five days after installing and using this faucet, water was found pooling under the handle mechanism. Close inspection revealed water to be very slowly dripping from the handle assembly under the dome kit where the faucet handle mates to the main faucet body. This is the exact deficiency as described in the Feb 18, 2012 review. This is a clear case of manufacture product design deficiency. This product was returned to the store for refund. No way would I consider buying a faucet with this handle design again nor recommend it to anyone else. Buyer beware.

We had this installed by a service professional and it started leaking from the handle within a day or two of installation. I know that the parts will be covered by warranty but I'm anxious to know if I will have to pay a service professional AGAIN to come out and fix the problem. For the amount of money that this faucet costs, Quality Control at the factory should have caught this defect. This is my first Moen product; we've always bought Delta faucets. I regret my purchase.
