Bowl should fill fairly quickly. If it does not, check your valve to see if it is full on. Next check your sink to see if house pressure is good. Next check your valve from the street, your house shutoff valve to see if it was turned back on fully. After that your guess is good as mine. You may have to adjust the flush valve. Read the adjustment data.

The tank does fill quietly, which is one good feature.

Hi,

Inside the tank there is a flush valve in the center. There are adjustments on both sides. If you push the adjustment all the way up, this will allow less water and it is for minimum flow. If you push it down it will maximum the water that is sent through the toilet.

My current toilet isn't very old. But, unbeknownst to me when I selected it, the flush runs like a waterfall, cleaning only a 1-inch stripe. My current toilet is nearly worthless, and requires a scrub after ever BM, since the water doesn't swirl.

The water does not swirl. It does come down like a waterfall, but cleans the whole bowel. This permits water to be saved. I have heard some complain of a "ring of shame", but I do not see the big deal about it. The toilet should be cleaned regardless the type in order to keep it sanitary. From my experience with this type, once in a great while, I will notice a water line. It takes less then 5 seconds of time to wipe it with a toilet brush with no cleaner needed. Of course, I clean it regularly like any toilet with the proper cleaner. I think the benefits of this toilet far exceeds the slight inconvenience of this 5 second cleaning.

Sounds like the tank is not level on the base, and also not tightened enough. Loosing the bolts and re-seat it, then tighten it back up. Do not over tighten, but make it snug. You should get your money back if this was done by a professional. I am far from one and I had no problem installing mine perfect on the first try.

If the tank leans and is loose, it sounds like your installer didn't level the base and tighten the flange bolts. Mine is installed on a marble floor and I needed to install stainless steel washers under the mounting ring on my floor because the bolts were too long for my floor. Works perfect. I used stainless washers to resist rust better.
