Hi Jack: Thanks for asking.
This Cadet Com-Pak Heater (Model CSC152TA) is a complete unit. It includes the heater, a wall can for recess mounting, an Almond thermostat with dial, Almond colored Grill, two screws, and the Installation Instructions. It should have everything you need to install, other than any electrical wiring and strain relief connectors!
See the "Tools Required" in the installation guide for more details.

Hi and thanks so much for asking! The answer is yes to both questions. For the high/low switch, the unit comes equipped with a built-in thermostat. The temperature range is 40 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and the thermostat controls the amount of time the unit is operating to reach your desired temperature. If the knob is turned counterclockwise to its lowest position, the thermostat will keep your room within about 5 degrees of the 40 degree low setting. And the Com-Pak Twin Plus style heaters are made to install into a 2x4 stud wall with 16" on center studs. We've included a link to an installation video that walks you through the project. Thanks again for your interest and question!

The heater comes with an internal thermostat controlled by the knob in the picture. No high/low setting unless you wire in a switch to power each heater separately (this heater has two separate heaters jumpered together inside) It mounts in a 2X4 wall without any extra room behind.

Can this heater be installed on a dedicated 20 amp 240 volt line with 12/2 with ground wire? I would also like to use a wall mounted thermostat with this unit but does the thermostat in the on off switch also keep the unit from overheating?

This heater will need to be installed on a dedicated 30 amp 240 volt circuit running 10/2 wire with ground. If you want to use a wall thermostat, you will need to turn the knob on the heater clockwise as far as it will go and control the heater with the wall stat. All Cadet heaters come with built-in safety features that turn them off, if normal operating temperatures are exceeded.

The thermostat that comes standard on this unit does not turn off, it has a high/low only setting.

We do have other thermostat options available.
Here is one that can be installed on the heater.

Or we have wall thermostats that also have the off feature.

Hi Jordan,

No, the Com-Pak Twin does not need to be vented outside.

We recommend installation 12 inches from all surfaces. A 3 foot minimum clearance is required for furniture or other objects placed directly in front of the heater.

The Com-Pak Twin does not come with a remote control.

We are continually looking at new and innovative designs for our heaters and hope to have some remote control options in the near future.
