Hello Ann and thank you for your question.

The TrafficMaster Allure Plus. Oak Dark Brown Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring can be installed over uneven sub-floors including concrete. The subfloor must be sound, solid and have little flexibility; the tolerance is 3/16" over 8 feet. Any large cracks or voids (over 1/8" x 1/8") must be filled with a cementitious patching/leveling compound. Allure is water resistant but not meant as water proofing material nor a solution for moisture. It must be acclimated in the room of installation for a minimum of 48 hours with the temperature between 65-85F (18-30C) before, during, and after installation

Best wishes on your project.

Thank you for your question...we do not recommend installing this product under cabinets. The cabinets will prevent the flooring from floating and could cause the floor to lift at some point. There is no edging required but certainly you can use a quarter round. If you do a search on Home Depot dot com for "Zamma" products they make matching trim.

I would not recommend using it directly under any appliance as the weight of the appliance could cause the product to lift. I would go no further than an inch or two under. You will not have any issue with the fire-retardant situation.
