I have purchased enough for our Master Suite shower and flooring just because it IS skid resistant. I previously also purchased and installed another Merola mosaic tile very similar and it is very nice. Its skid resistance when wet in the shower is better than anything else I have used. I highly recommend it. Cleans easily, too.
I had an experience in my garage when cutting a few sheets to fit in the bath and I dropped a tool on a mosaic sheet. Like most porcelain glazed tiles, the surface chipped when a metal object dropped on it. The sub-surface just below the white porcelain glaze is a light gray so a ding might not be attractive. However, this did not happen, thankfully, after it was installed.
This tile is less than 1/4" thick and requires some care when applying to thin-set. I used a narrow groove trowel for spreading the mortar on the WEDI board, as opposed to the wider groove for large tiles, because excessive thin-set can ooze between the tiles making clean-up a messy chore. I did not back-butter the mosaic, but sprayed water on the mesh to aid in adhesion. Also when laying the tiles I found it best to pull a sheet into alignment rather than push. This keeps the layout intact. Good Luck.
