I expected about a 60W incandescent equivalent but it appears much brighter when looking at the fixture. I would hazard it is about a 75W equivalent but be warned, LEDs do not throw light the same way incandescent lights do. I can't put my finger on it, but they are a little different. Incandescent lamps literally burn, but are not consumed since they are in a vacuum or gas. LED lights are diodes that display very small electric arcs. To my eyes, that quality is different. To me this light is a downlight, it does not have a sophisticated lens just a piece of frosted plastic to diffuse the light, and the little lamps are mounted to a board which means they can only go one way. All that said, it is high quality and it is a good choice for task lighting, or a utility space. Ours is above a sink, which is perfect. It would be a terrible hallway or bedroom fixture.
