Customer questions and answers for
Weber Spirit E-210 2-Burner Propane Gas Grill

The 2013 Spirit E-210 Propane Gas Grill has been completely re-imagined and the proof is visible in features throughout the grill. With the control panel moved to the front, 2 stainless steel tables fold down to allow for maneuverability and easy storage, a boon for grillers with small patios, decks or balconies. While compact, the grill is also roomy enough to cook a 20 lb. turkey or roast meats and vegetables at the same time. Porcelain enameled cast-iron cooking grates offer superior heat retention and quick clean up, and the porcelain-enameled shroud will not fade, peel or rust. An electronic crossover ignition system lights the 2-burners with just 1-touch of the igniter button, and an easy-to-read fuel gauge lets you know where you stand on fuel at all times. Not available in natural gas.

No grill that I have ever seen comes with a tank unless there's a store promo or something. It's only about $24.99 to buy a filled tank, and then $19.99 to exchange your empty one for a filled out.

It actually hangs on a spring loaded gas gauge above the hole which is a very nice feature. It gives you an idea of how much gas is left in your tank by the weight of it.

The flavorizer bars just below the grills should be doing that. However, if you want a more smoky taste I would recommend purchasing a bag of wood chips (mesquite, hickory, etc.) and soaking them for 30 minutes then wrapping them in foil and placing directly on the grill. Be sure to poke some holes in the foil as that will allow the smoke to escape. Another option is to try some planks of cedar or alder. Soak the same way and place meat directly on the plank. Chicken and fish are particularly good this way.

Thank you for your question. Lava rocks are not recommended to be used inside any Weber grill. As you grill more food on the cast iron cooking grates, the Weber Spirit E-210 grill will begin to season. Also, using wood chips or chunks in a smoker box can add additional smokey flavor. If you have any further questions, please contact Weber Customer Service at 1-800-446-1071.

I really like the flavorizer bars that come with the Weber. They give the food a grilled taste. I also use the Weber Smoker Box, which is also good for flavor, and giving food that "outdoorsy" taste. You don't need lava rocks.

Thank you for your question. It sounds as if you may have triggered the safety device within the hose and regulator. You can inadvertently activate the safety device without having a gas leak. Typically, this occurs if you open the LP tank valve rapidly, if you do not wait a sufficient time between opening the tank valve and the burner control knobs or if one or more of the burner control knobs is in an open position when opening the LP tank valve. If you do activate the gas regulator safety device, the barbecue will struggle to reach high temperatures or may not light at all, even with all burners on the HIGH setting.

To insure that you are not inadvertently activating the safety device as you turn on the grill:
-SLOWLY open the LP tank valve. -Wait 60 seconds, which will allow the hose to fill and regulate.
-Turn the front burner control knob (side mounted knob design) or any burner (front mounted knob design) to the HIGH position.
-Ignite the grill by pushing the button.
-Turn the other burner(s) on HIGH as well.
-Close the barbecue lid.
-The barbecue should reach 500 to 550 degrees in 10-15 minutes.

When you are done grilling:
-Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position
-Turn off the LP tank valve last

If you have any further questions please contact Weber Customer Service at 1-800-446-1071.

In the shade or early evening when it's darker out side well make it easier.
See if it didn't become knocked out of position.

I use a 1.5" wide Spackle putty knife. I use an older one that I have washed very well.
I sharpened the blade on some fine sandpaper.
This tool works great scraping off the dried fat, chicken skin, etc.
I do it soon after I relight the burners. I purchased a high temperature glove to protect my hand.
I use the same tool on the Lodge cast iron plate I leave sitting on the right side of my grill.
I use that plate to sear meat or chicken and also cook other items on it.
After scraping the grill clean only then do I use a wide Weber wire brush.
That's just for a final cleaning. By scraping off the grills & plate with the putty knife first
it keeps the wire brush from becoming clogged with all that food material.
As for seasoning I rubbed on some olive oil when first used. But not any longer.
Same thing with the Lodge Double Play Reversible Grill Griddle
Take a steak of your choice. Rub olive oil on it and season it with large granular sea salt
and pepper. Sear it on the Griddle. Finish it on the grills.
Now I have no need to pay for an expensive steak diner when I can grill my own at home for less money and better flavor.

Due to the complexity of the technology, gas train components and the level of dis-assembly that would have to be performed, Weber does not allow conversions or offer conversion kits. This decision was made in the interest of safety and applies to Weber gas grills and the charcoal Performer. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us at 1-800-446-1071

No I'm afraid not. But my old Weber gas grill I gave away almost 8 years ago when we moved out of state is still working just fine.
We owned it for at least 10 years before giving it away. Now add the past 8 years we haven't owned it.
So it's about 18 years old.
The only maintenance it required were replacing the flavor bars and a new set of porcelain coated cast iron grates to replace the stainless steel ones.
I highly recommend Weber grills.
Enjoy your new Weber grill.

Every thing you need is provided.
There isn't all that much you have to assemble.
It's not like the Weber grills from 20 years ago where you had to assemble and adjust the entire burner unit in the lower half of the grill.
It is very simple.
Buy extra drip pan disposable liner's.
Also buy a Wide box of aluminum foil and cover the grease tray.
Don't forget to make a hole the grease had drip down to the drip pan.
This will make cleaning the tray much easier.

The shelves are 16 inches wide and fold out to 13 inches. They seem to be fairly sturdy and make for great space saving storage when folded down.
