You would have to go in to the store and order it as a special order. Have the associate print out the technical data for it and mark it where you want the grab bar so that they can attach it to the order. This will make the order run more smoothly.

This model is a ‘Direct to Stud’ installation. It can be fastened to an alcove that is finished as long as the alcove is of a size outlined in the Tech Data.

The unit does require silicone or caulk…it is recommended to use 100% silicone (it can be purchased in white and other colors).

Thank you for your question. The seat is tested to hold up to 300LBS. If you want this to be a shower unit then yes, you will need all three walls. We also sell just the bottom part which is the 6030SPAN and you would be able to build your own surround to this.

Because Aquatic does not sale directly to the customers, you can ask your local Home Depot to see if they're able to place an order for you.

Another option would be to locate a wholesaler that carries Aquatic products, and see if they're able to place an order for you.

To find an Aquatic dealer, go to www.aquaticbath.com and type in your zip code at the top left corner of the home page, where it states: "Find a Dealer".

Question

Pipes slightly in the way - will seat accomodate?

Asked by
pbleier
Riverside, CA
about 160304PSR 30 in. x 60 in. x 76 in. Shower Stall in White on
July 27, 2014
After removing the old tub, I discovered pipes that emerge from the slab before disappearing at an angle into the framing.
pipes are 2 inches out from the framing - then disappear into the framing cavity about t1 inches up. They extend 18 inches out from the back wall. This wasn't a problem for the slanted back of the old tub, but will the seat also fit over them?

From the dimensions given (and if I'm understanding them correctly), I do not see an overall issue, the seat will clear the space. The critical dimensions, that I see, are the 2" out and 11" up and this is at 18" from the backwall (this should leave you plenty of space. Care will need to be taken when moving the pan into the space that you do not hit and crack a weld on the pipe and/or crack the unit...but it should work. If there is a unit in stock at your local store, I would recommend checking the dimensions against the physical unit, just to make sure.
