I bought the LG LHD45EL based on the Consumer Reports review which rated it highly because of effectiveness in removing moisture, low energy consumption and being quiet. I returned the first unit I bought because the FULL light wouldn't light, it was loud and the controls seemed not be functioning properly. The second unit is going to go back because it's also very loud. It sounds like the fan is unbalanced and it's worse in Low speed than it is in High. Another review I read seemed to indicate that units manufactured by one of LG's suppliers was pretty good, but the others had problems. We'll see if Home Depot can keep supplying units until I get one that works well!
No, I do not recommend this product.
